Course Curriculum Overview

2

I was more interested in political, international, rural issues so I opted for political science, curriculum was fine but they should have include a few more subjects so that the student got a chance to learn other things, curriculum is important but also the teaching methods, professors was not interested in teaching, if they will teach something then they will expect the student to knew everything about that topic which he/she has never even read, so teacher should be more generous and loving towards the students also there was issue with the Hindi medium students they were treated like backwards, that should be change. I think University should take exams three times of a year so that the student get to know about the exam method and will be engaged in studies because University is the main stair to touch the sky.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fee is now around 21000, they increase the tuition fee according the inflation, as the university has to pay back their loans from higher education financing agency. We gave the annual fee in the month of July, 15000+ 16000+17500 all the charges were included excluding the annual function and freshers and farewell. College used to give scholarships to the students who are very poor, I never received the scholarship on the basis of merit, but it was believed that students are getting scholarship in the basis of merit who scored 70 percent in any subject I also obtained such marks but never got any scholarship, college was not responsible for placements, but some companies used to come annually and select the students who belongs to commerce stream with a annual package of 1.2lakh.

Campus Life

2.5

Fresher held in September, then department farewell held in October, as I was in Punjabi college so lunger was also arranged in gurupurab, then fest take place in the month of February it used to run for 3 days, library was full of books but they were very less in the numbers, if I want a book related to colonism then there would be 10 books for that subject, so we have to wait for the student who has issued the book. Classes was nice, there was a big green board, projectors, and other required things. Yes college used to participate in sports and extracurricular activities, they have nnc, rrs, dancing, drama, debate, sports department. Many students tried to run social group but that groups used to run only during elections time, once the election over there is no one to take the voice of the students.

Admission

When I got 90%in the 12th (2014) I thought I would take admitted in a best college, I wanted to take admitted in hansaraj or Miranda but there cut off-list was very high and I could not wait till the last 4th - 5th cutt off, so I took admission in Khalsa College, I showed my mark sheet to the college they approved me and gave me application form on 8th july whose charge was included in the fee, they also requested for anti ragging certificate which costed around 300.i also wanted to take up admission in ip University( girls located in Delhi) but they said that i should have come in the second cutt off now I am not eligible for admission because I have more marks then the third cutt off. Delhi University takes exams in two semester, I faced difficulty during first two semester, teachers hardly understand students problems. University should hire the teachers/third party who can help students during form and other required documents submission, form submission is a big task so they needhelp

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course curriculum includes learning across 2 feilds like i have economics and maths and later we can continue 4th year to get hons degree . So its really gives time for a person to test himself or herself about which field to go on for as specialization. The difficulty level for this course is easy to moderate.
