Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum in TIET is quite similar to other colleges. They have 8 semesters with 2 main exams per semester. Also they have a test before each exam named sessionals which has around 15-20% weightage overall

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 650000 per year

Placement Experience

Placements in our college was good till 2016 but they drastically got a downfall. This year only 40-60% students got placed. Others got to do masters or did not qualify due to CGPA. Some of the students also got good packages.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees in our college depends upon the branch of the student. For branches like ECE, ENC, etc. the fees is quite less than the COE branch. People who are among top 10% of the branch with higher jee main rank gets a merit cum scholarship and need to have 8.5+ CGPA to continue the scholarship.

Campus Life

The campus life in our college is quite better than other colleges present in our area. TIET is ranked in top 20 for sports. Also they have many fests like SATURNALIA in which Mohit Chauhan came this year. Also they have Urja for sports and TFF a food festival.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels in our college are also good with Air conditioning options. The mess in our hostel is quite disappointing but better than other colleges. They provide food three times a day whereas other colleges provide snacks also with 4 times a day.

Hostel Fee: INR 52000 per year

Admission

I got 94.75 percentile in Jee Mains by which I got admission into Computer Engineering branch in the first counselling which was held just after 2nd attempt. The curriculum here is good also there are some societies for coding culture

Course Curriculum Overview:

Life at Chandigarh University A CSE Student

Placement Experience:

As a BE Computer Science student at Chandigarh University, placements are decent but depend a lot on individual skills. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester, and most of the placement process happens in the 7th and 8th semesters. Many companies visit the campus every year like Microsoft, Amazon, Cognizant, Capgemini, TCS, Infosys, Wipro and some startups as well. There are a good number of offers made, especially from mass recruiters like TCS, Infosys and Cognizant. The highest package claimed by the university goes very high, even above 40 LPA, but those are for a very small number of students. Realistically, the average package for CSE students is around 5 to 7 LPA. Mass recruiters usually offer packages between 3 to 5 LPA. Around 70 to 80 percent of students get placed if they are consistent with coding and preparation. Those who depend only on college studies may find it harder due to high competition. The university also provides training for aptitude, coding tests and interviews which helps in preparation. After completing my degree, my plan is to get placed in a good product based company. At the same time, I am also focusing on improving my coding skills and working on projects so that I can aim for better opportunities or even higher studies if needed.

Yes my engineering college provide placement to students many companies visited this year as intern for third year student like visa, samsungand many more .one has to be competitive enough for scoring and clearing all the round and to get internship as well as placement.

Internships at LPU

Placement Experience:

I exactly don't know but after 4 th or 5 th students are eligible for internship and placements. Generally in 7th semester 90 percent students grab their internship. Many companies visit on campus placement like Capgemini, Amazon, Infosys, TCS, Microsoft and many more. Highest package offered is 64 LPA by Microsoft and lowest was 4 LPA. Almost 90 percent students get placed by 8th semister. I also want to go to a MAANG company after getting my degree.

Placement Experience:

From sixth semester onwards the students become eligible for college placement. Companies such as Tcs, corizo, wipro visit for placements , highest packages reach around 1 cr and average is about 10 to 15 lac for students with good scores

A Comprehensive Review on College Life, Academics and Opportunities

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities provided are moderate in compariosan to other colleges and they are failry good in comaprison to the private unis.Most of the students based on their academics and skills become eligible for placements in their 5th semester.Both MNCs and startups visit the college and the average package ranges form 8-10 lpa and highest package can touch crores.The percentage of student getting placed is aslo good though i dont lnow the exact statistics. My plan is to go for placements during and after my degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

1) I want to go in construction industry so i chose this field. 2) Currently our college curriculum is updated so its relevant i will say around 70 to 80% . 3) For improvement Faculties should be brought from all over india as professors here are only concentrated from ludhiana itself. and labs are very old it should be upgraded. 5) In a semester there are 2 monthly exams and one end semester exam. 6) As far as difficuly level of exam is concerned it is not much difficult if someone solved PYQ thoroughly.

I love my collage

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am interested in computer science so I choose this course to learn programing how the code works in computer. Student ratio is 22 in class. Teacher are well qulified and there teaching method is easy to understand. There two term exam in 6 months and these exam is not difficult

Honest is the best Policy

I was getting addmission in some other private colleges but this was near to me and had a great rew.. Its infra and hostels are really worth it. i applied for lnmiit college jaipur . there i was expecting computer branch but did got electronics branch so i didnt went there.here in thapar it was based on jee mains percentile for addmission. computer branches were available till 89 percentile for punjab students and till 94 percentile for outside punjab students. so i had percentile of 95 so i easily got computer branch over here....Read More
