Likes

Very good opportunities for students who need to learn Computers and want to skill in it even after being from non CS branch.
All societies and clubs are a chapter if any of the IITs club which help in CV building
Good Infrastructure, Places to hang out in campus.

Dislikes

Thapar Mess is like okayish but sodexo one is good.
Being on outskirts if patiala few thing are little bit far from campus like resturants, clubs, shops etc.
Punjab Quota is bit on higher side due to its location in PUNJAB.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course Curriculum is good and faculty members are also very good, have a lot of experience and mostly are IITs Graduate. They are very much skilled knowledge and polite in nature. Helps you in getting internship, projects.

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 300000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees structure is divided in 3 slabs slab 1 is for Computer Branches which cost approx 28 lakhs (with hostel fee) Slab 2 are for Electronics and other Specialization courses which cost around 26-27 lakh (with hostel fee) Slab 3 are for most core branches and it cost around 23-24(with hostel) Here hostel fees are taken the minimum one. One gets many kind of Scholarship based upon his performance in:- Boards, JEE MAINS, CGPA in College, Family Income, Domiciles.

Campus Life

Campus life is very good, There are many clubs which organises there events after every two to three weeks and that events help in RESUME building, Very Lush green campus, good social life, New Infrastructure like Lecture Hall, Library.

Admission

The admission process was very easy. Admissions were taken through the bases of Jee Mains & XIIth Boards Percenrage. There was a application form on Thapar University page which one needs to fill online and need to attach all the important documents in pdf format.

Chandigarh University - My experience from fees to social life

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is good and cover every aspects of learning and skills needed in today's time but it feels the semester get over to fast in around 3.5 months with 3 exams and lab exam. They should provide the real learning based on a student interest some student are good in coding but they lack to communicate better, they should focus on that part also as they also do in many cases by giving subjects like soft skills and communication skills every sem.The teacher should not be reading the ppt only . We can do that also why we are paying that much fees just to learn from a teacher who is just reading the slides.

Course Curriculum Overview:

i would rate the course curriculum as largely relevant and fairly comprehensive,. one of the main reasons i chose this course was the balance between conceptual foundations and practical exposure. the curricuum supports future academic growth since many of the modules introduce us to advance topics early, making it easier to explore research. some topics feel slightly outdated and could be aligned better with the current industry skills and technologies. the exam schedule is manageable, though sometimes multiple assessments happen in the same week or same day, ehich adds pressure . Spacing out evaluations a bit more and giving clearer rubrics could improve the overall experience

Honest is the best Policy

I was getting addmission in some other private colleges but this was near to me and had a great rew.. Its infra and hostels are really worth it. Bits Pilani was the other college that I applied for but in there entrance exam I didn't score enough to get a branch of my liking. I applied for VIT and SRM but didn't take admission due to poor quality of placements and peer group. I am from the General Outside Punjab quota.
