Likes

Infrastructure is very good and well maintained.
Sports area is huge and all equipments are available for all the sports.
Library is huge with a lot of floors and with variety of books.

Dislikes

Some routes to different places are not well maintained.

My course is one of the demanding course right now and provides ample of opportunities for placements and for future career. The faculty members in Thapar are good some are extremely professional and some are still new but overall they are nice.

Campus placement is very good. The college is known for its high percent of placement. The average package is 13 lakh. And all the branches have equal chances of getting good placements with a lot of options of different companies.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees in private colleges like thapar is quite high but it provides many opportunities of scholarships, internships and many more. The placement for thapar is heard and read to be quite high then other private colleges

Campus Life

The life at campus is really experience full with many different people all over India and also many outside India. People here are of conflicting nature some doesn't care about anyone while some are really caring just like a brother.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility is really good with air conditioner clean rooms and washroom and many more facilities like laundary, gym table tennis room 24/7 guards , hot and cold shower , housekeepers and also has ambulance service .

Hostel Fee: INR 104000 per year

Admission

You need to pass 10 + 2 examination and apply for JEE Mains. Then you need to apply for different colleges through their application form and check on their website to see the course they have offered to you.

Chandigarh University - My experience from fees to social life

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is good and cover every aspects of learning and skills needed in today's time but it feels the semester get over to fast in around 3.5 months with 3 exams and lab exam. They should provide the real learning based on a student interest some student are good in coding but they lack to communicate better, they should focus on that part also as they also do in many cases by giving subjects like soft skills and communication skills every sem.The teacher should not be reading the ppt only . We can do that also why we are paying that much fees just to learn from a teacher who is just reading the slides.

Course Curriculum Overview:

i would rate the course curriculum as largely relevant and fairly comprehensive,. one of the main reasons i chose this course was the balance between conceptual foundations and practical exposure. the curricuum supports future academic growth since many of the modules introduce us to advance topics early, making it easier to explore research. some topics feel slightly outdated and could be aligned better with the current industry skills and technologies. the exam schedule is manageable, though sometimes multiple assessments happen in the same week or same day, ehich adds pressure . Spacing out evaluations a bit more and giving clearer rubrics could improve the overall experience

Honest is the best Policy

I was getting addmission in some other private colleges but this was near to me and had a great rew.. Its infra and hostels are really worth it. Bits Pilani was the other college that I applied for but in there entrance exam I didn't score enough to get a branch of my liking.
