Course Curriculum Overview

Sem 1 was great, the faculty members really want to help you and curriculum is very practical too. But subjects like chemistry and environment should not be there. ratio is around 60 40 in favour of boys.

Internships Opportunities

Companies come here for internships. you have to maintain a good cgpa to be available for it. jp morgan, cisco , deloitte etc. Internships can be of 6 months or one year and stipend varies from company to company.

Placement Experience

currently the placements are not that great. you have to maintain a cgpa of more than 9 to get a chance for 15 lakhs per annum package or more. JP morgan, tcs, microsoft are few of the companies. The highest on campus placement is around 55 lpa.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is too much but we cant complain as we get one of the best hostel facilities in india. We have got an ac. You get scholarship if you are in the top 10 per cent in jee mains and you can a;so get it through cgpa after 1st year

Campus Life

social life is great on the campus. Sports fest is in 2 weeks and saturnalia the main fest is in november. One of the best libraries of india. Every classroom has one or more projectors. There is huge emphasis on sports as well.

Hostel Facilities

we have an ac a fan. Mine is hostel K which has 2 seater rooms with 2 single beds. The meal quality is not that great but it is ok we have a sodexo controlled mess. The registration process is quite simple

Hostel Fee: INR 50000 per year

Admission

It was great. i came in through jee. Cutoff for my course was 90 percentile and I got 92. Application related all things can easily be found on thapar website easily avalable on any browser. The admission process can be better if they create a customer support system.

Chandigarh University - My experience from fees to social life

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is good and cover every aspects of learning and skills needed in today's time but it feels the semester get over to fast in around 3.5 months with 3 exams and lab exam. They should provide the real learning based on a student interest some student are good in coding but they lack to communicate better, they should focus on that part also as they also do in many cases by giving subjects like soft skills and communication skills every sem.The teacher should not be reading the ppt only . We can do that also why we are paying that much fees just to learn from a teacher who is just reading the slides.

Course Curriculum Overview:

i would rate the course curriculum as largely relevant and fairly comprehensive,. one of the main reasons i chose this course was the balance between conceptual foundations and practical exposure. the curricuum supports future academic growth since many of the modules introduce us to advance topics early, making it easier to explore research. some topics feel slightly outdated and could be aligned better with the current industry skills and technologies. the exam schedule is manageable, though sometimes multiple assessments happen in the same week or same day, ehich adds pressure . Spacing out evaluations a bit more and giving clearer rubrics could improve the overall experience

Honest is the best Policy

I was getting addmission in some other private colleges but this was near to me and had a great rew.. Its infra and hostels are really worth it.
