Course Curriculum Overview

I chose computer engineering as I have an interest in the subject. On an Average 1 teacher is allocated for 120 students per subject. There are ten exams after every 2 months and getting pad is very difficult.

Internships Opportunities

I am a student of first year. So I don't know much about that. But as heard from seniors they say that the internships provided by the institute are really good and help them in building up their CV..

Placement Experience

The placement history of Thapar seems to be decent as there are quite a bit of students who don't get placements from campus but on other hand there are students who got high packages but there is a lot of competition because of high intake rate of students.

Fees and Financial Aid

Thapar is one of the most expensive colleges in India making it really difficult for students to get admission in the institute. Many students take loans from banks to get into it. I would have liked if the education was cheaper

Campus Life

Life at campus is really good. There are events frequently taking place throughout the campus. The annual event saturnalia was really good Mohit Chauhan was the performer and he really made the site memorable

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility for the 1st years is not very good. The washrooms are often not well maintained. There is problem of hot water at times making it difficult to take bath in winters. The price of the hostel seems to be reasonable.

Hostel Fee: INR 104000 per year

Admission

I got admission through JEE Mains under Punjab quota. You can apply for college digitally on their website and 4 year fees averages to be around 27 lakh. The application dates for the first round started after first JEE Mains round.

Chandigarh University - My experience from fees to social life

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is good and cover every aspects of learning and skills needed in today's time but it feels the semester get over to fast in around 3.5 months with 3 exams and lab exam. They should provide the real learning based on a student interest some student are good in coding but they lack to communicate better, they should focus on that part also as they also do in many cases by giving subjects like soft skills and communication skills every sem.The teacher should not be reading the ppt only . We can do that also why we are paying that much fees just to learn from a teacher who is just reading the slides.

Course Curriculum Overview:

i would rate the course curriculum as largely relevant and fairly comprehensive,. one of the main reasons i chose this course was the balance between conceptual foundations and practical exposure. the curricuum supports future academic growth since many of the modules introduce us to advance topics early, making it easier to explore research. some topics feel slightly outdated and could be aligned better with the current industry skills and technologies. the exam schedule is manageable, though sometimes multiple assessments happen in the same week or same day, ehich adds pressure . Spacing out evaluations a bit more and giving clearer rubrics could improve the overall experience

Honest is the best Policy

I was getting addmission in some other private colleges but this was near to me and had a great rew.. Its infra and hostels are really worth it.
