Course Curriculum Overview
I chose Electrical Engineering among the 10 courses offered in our college because it opens up opportunities for Government Jobs. The faculty members are well-qualified and cooperative, maintaining a 1:20 Faculty to student ratio. The assessment includes two mid-semester exams before the end semester exam, which are quite challenging to pass. The quality of questions in these exams is high.
Placement Experience
The college has impressive placement opportunities, with numerous companies coming for student evaluations. The average package is Rs.700,000, while the highest package last year reached Rs.500,000. The Mechanical branch boasts a 100% placement rate. Personally, I aim to pursue Government Jobs and attempt the Engineering Services exam conducted by UPSC.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is reasonable, making it affordable for economically disadvantaged students to enroll in this reputable college. Although I haven't received any scholarship so far, I've heard about numerous opportunities for scholarships and internships being available.
Campus Life
The college organizes various fests, with the "Techie of the Year" being particularly popular. The library is well-stocked with numerous books that can be borrowed for a duration of two weeks. A 75% attendance is mandatory for all students in classrooms. The campus also hosts numerous sports events, and there are several clubs available, with my participation in some of them.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel room facilities are average. Hostel-22, in particular, offers a variety of tasty meals. The registration process for hostel allotment is straightforward, requiring a payment of Rs.7000 annually. Despite the hostels being quite far from the lecture halls, the distance provides a good exercise opportunity.
Admission
The admission process entails several steps. Initially, candidates are required to take the JEE exam. Following this, the Government of Jharkhand assigns a Common Merit List (CML) rank based on the exam results. Subsequently, admission to colleges is determined by a combination of the achieved rank and the availability of seats. Additionally, reservation quotas are applied based on categories such as GEN, OBC, SC, or ST.
