Course Curriculum Overview

5

First of all this college BIT Sindri is very well reputed in my state ( Jharkhand) and specially the mechanical engineering trade is very well highlighted amonst the 12th passout there. Curriculum is very well structured for real world applicaitons, as along with the class for subjects we also have had the classes for personalities development, english speaking etc on the regular basis. May be more modern teaching equipments can be used for making teaching more effective and interesting. Just two time exams in an year along with 4 CTs and vivas for practical subjects. Average difficulty level is always on the medium side, but it always dependent on the professor who is setting up the question paper.

Internships Opportunities

4

I got the chance for doing two internships during my college. 1st- At koderma thermal power corporation in Koderma where we worked in coal handling plants 2nd- seimens NX CAD software for solidworks and engineering drawing.

Placement Experience

4

After 5th semester students become eligible for campus placements and PPOs. Tata motors, Tata Powers, Jindal Steel Limited, etc with an average number of 5-6 students. In my batch highest package was 11 LPA in Tata Steels and overall average package was 6 LPA. Around 40% students were get placed in my batch. Preparations for government examninations to get into PSUs.

Fees and Financial Aid

We only have to pay two times in a year- 1st- At the start of the year session(April) which includes exams fees, tuition fees etc (? 13500) + Hostel and electricity fees(?7000) 2nd- After six months(September) which includes exams fees, tuition fees etc (? 13500)

Campus Life

5

BITAANSH was one of the major college event organised every year around november-december. We have had celebrations on festivals like holi, saraswati puja, vishwakarma puja etc College is having a huge library building containg all sorts of books required and very easily available. There is ground for almost all sports in the campus itself and specially dedicated sports club where we can enroll free of cost. Also there is an annual sports day held every year around september.

Hostel Facilities

5

There was one bed, one table with a chair, a wardrobe, a fan, and two light bulbs only in the rooms. In the hostel building after each rows there is four bathrooms and washrooms and each floor have two water filters for drinking. The hostel was in college campus itself.

Admission

I was selected for this college after clearing entrance exam conducted by JCECE. I have also cleared WBJEE exam and was selected in some of the reputed college in West Bengal but I chose BIT sindri because this college was very close to my city and is very well reputed in my state.

Faculty

5

I am not sure of faculty to student ratio in BIT sindri but it is surely around 1:90 and also faculties are very easily approachable there as not only offices but the houses also there in the campus only of all faculties. There were several faculties whom I liked there in my college but i would surely like to mention few of them. SK Chaudhry sir for fluid mechanics and machines is one the best person I have ever met in my life. In the span of 4 years we have 2 main semester exams each year with around 4 CTs of each subject in the respecitve semesters. The difficulty level of exams are completely dependent on the professor who is going to set the paper. An average student can easily clear the exams. Around 20 students in batch failed the exam. The course is completely relevant with the present job oppourtunities available in the market.

Night Life

4

For boys hostel is like 24*7 available no restrictions in, in or out but there was some timings in girls hostel. We can roam around campus any time we want but there restritions in leaving campus after 8 PM. Almost everything is available there at the campus which would come in use for any students. There were two cafeterias and a gym at the side sports club but gym is not that functional and easily accessible to every students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I will rate the course curriculum decent because it cover the basic engineering concepts that made me choose this course and it prepare us okay for real-world or higher study, but still more practical work and updated teaching method needed, and exams come mostly every semester with some internals which are moderate tough but manageable with regular study. There are some teachers who teach very well and have good teaching methods.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel the course curriculum is okay and the basics are covered well, which is one reason I choose this branch, but some subjects feel outdated and not fully connected to real industry work. It prepare us for further studies more than practical jobs. Exams come every semester with internals in between, difficulty is moderate but few papers become tricky. I think more practical topics, updated labs and better teaching methods will make the curriculum more useful...

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

Placement Experience:

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

One of my colleges best features is its placements program, which offers fantastic chances for students to launch their carrers. In the fifth and sixth semesters, students are prepared with aptitude training sessions, group discussions, and resume construction. About 85% of qualified pupils were placed during the previoes school year. Compared to core engieering fields, placements rates were marginally higher in IT branches.
