Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I opted for civil engineering assignment as I have intrest in core .This college is very known for its core engineering and placement opportunities. Bit sindri is following JUT curriculum and courses are prity much relevant to current scenario. Designed for company criterias and we have Training and placement cell too. The courses here are very much placement orinted and infact there are separate teams for GATE and other engineering examinations.

Internships Opportunities

4

There are many internship opportunities in the college and students are dedicated to it. Here we have Training and placement cell which has prime focus on placement of students.Regular gd session are held and practice mocks are held . Dr ghanshyam sir is incharge of TAP CELL.There are many final year students involved in campus placement offers. Regular webinars and company give their campaigns.

Placement Experience

4

Placement is decent for core engineering and is more focused on core placement.Cs have not much placement but electrical and mechanical placements are good .They too get preplacement and internships provided there academic performance are good. Teachers and profesor do provide guidance and techniques for GATE and other engineering exams. STUDENTS are eligible after 6th sem and infact many get PPO from the companies they have done internship.

Fees and Financial Aid

As this college is state government affiliated,Fees are prity much cheaper. For general it's 15000 per year . Complete 4 year Fees is 60000 excluding hostel and mess facilities. Hostel cost is around 9500 for a year and for completing btech including all (mess+hostel) around 3 lacs . Now coming to reservation side ...Both general and Obc have same amount of admission and other charges like tuition fees , student fund fee i.e 4500 per year. For SC and ST category the fess is pritty much relaxed which costs around 32 rupees which is also the same for all girls student irresepective of cast but the other charges like student fund fee , hostel charges and mess fess.

Campus Life

4.5

We have 22 clubs overall. Hncc, iste ,IET,leo, rotract and many others. Students run many social cultural clubs like prayas India and many tech fests . Leo club is known for attitude, rotract for service before self, tech clubs have hncc camps code camp, model and Ai making and projects making like car design.there are several sports competition like spardha which is annula sports fest, volleyball competion, football contest and many more.

Hostel Facilities

5

So in college we have 30 hostel divided in zones.A zone have final year hostel for single room.B zone have 3rd year hostel and c zone is for girls hostel and d zone have 2st year hostel Mess quality is good as compared to other mess reviews and menu is decided by the students itself . Registration process for mess and is done after admission. Mess fees is 3900 for three time meal.

Admission

So my college comes under jharkhand government which is following jee mains percentile /ranks for admission. For general category students Scoring above 95 percentile gives them opportunity to have cse branch and gradually decreases for other branches. There are too many reservations here. 1st of which is you must be a citizen of jharkhand state . There are seats reserved for ST/SC and OBC and for general they have EWS category too

Faculty

4

BIT Sindri is one of the oldest institution of country carrying its legacy with more than 75 years of giving great engineers to the country. The faculty here is qualified enough and coperative. THE CORE BRANCHES ARE of more focus in the campus with civil mechanical and electrical being the oldest branches. the course structure is provided by the JHARKHAND UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY and the exam structure is 2 mid sem and one end sem . the end sem paper is for 70 marks and rest 30 is divided in mid sem assisngments and viva.

Night Life

4

the campus has several fooding areas like cafeteria , nescafe, aunty maggie, 7 lakes, Baba ka dhaba and common ground fooding area and there are stalls at the evening within the campus. the hostel timings for boys are 11 pm and for girls are 7:30 pm but on the other hand the timings are onlu for 1st year in boys. from 2nd year the campus is free to travel.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

1.The main thing about our campus, campus placements are so good. Branches like CSE & ECE have high placement percentage about 90. 2.From 3rd year students got involved college internships and programmes that allow them to better placements. 3.Top companies like Google,Microsoft,Amazon,Intel,Samsung etc visited our campus. And the highest package of our campus is about 60LPA offered by Amazon. 4.I planned to work after completing my B.Tech.

Placement Experience:

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

On-campus placements are provided to pretty much everyone in the college. With one of the highest percentages of students getting placed, yet the average CTC offered is not up to loving standards, a lot of students opt for higher studies and IAS preparation after college.

We had very little companies for placement ibm and hcl came for bpo jobs.. About 80% left with no jobs after completing the session... Very poor placement opportunities. After completing the jobs most of us went to banglore for searching jobs... We had placement if any after completing 8 semesters We had ibm and hcl but they asked for donations before giving jobs. Packages were 3.6 Lakh to 5 Lakh per year. Overall 20% got placement. I prepared for Government exams after completing my degree.
