I choosed this course because i am interested in construction and wanted to learn how the skyscrapers, large bridges and other engineering marvels like the chenab bridges are built especially the structural engineering part of it. Also the scope in government sector is great there are lot of job opportunities. Our curriculum included regular workshops, site visits to nearby sites and interships were must during 2nd and 3rd year summer break. I did my internships from Central Public Works Department in 2nd year and from IRCON international in third year which was a great experience and helped me to learn a lot of practical aspect of construction sector and also given me edge over others in placements. The areas that can be improved in our course is that the labs are needed to be improved new machines are required to give a better practical understanding of concepts within department. The exams are held 3 times each semester 2 mid terms and 1 end semester difficulty is normal.

This course is a very emerging and important aspect of all our lives. The buildings and the infrastructure around us, the roads on which we travel to learn these things is quite fascinating for me which has catched my attention towards this course. This course is very impactful in solving real world problems taking accountability of the environment as well. there are 2 semesters conducted each year and 4 internal exams the difficulty level is moderate. The teaching methods used by the faculty members are very impactful. There are various labs present in the department such as environmental lab, soil lab , concrete structure lab, transportation engineering lab which helps student gain practical knowledge to solve real world problems.

As it is a government institute so the faculty members are well qualified and known for their teaching skills. There is a 1:20 faculty to student ratio in our college which is quite a good number. There are two mid-semester exam before every end semester exam. The level of question is pretty good to test the knowledge of engineers.

There are 10 courses in our collge and I preferred Civil Engineering because it helps in further Government Jobs opportunity. Faculty members are highly qualified and are very cooperative. We have a 1:20 Faculty to student ratio. There are two mid-semester exam before an end semester exam which are fairly hard to pass and questions are of good quality.

I have a good interest in the engineering field and want to do some innovative work for the society. There are enough faculty available in the college . The faculties are well educated and also so co-operative and the teaching quality of their so nice and well behaved. There happens two Mid Sem exam in each semester and end Sem at the end of the semester. The marks of the best of the two Mid semester is considered in the final end semester for calculating CGPA. The checking of the paper is nicely and teachers are also supportive during the paper checking.

I got civil by default according to my rank. Best faculties are here and student ratio varies from 150-200. Faculties are all P.hd holders and highly knowledgeable also their teaching methods are next level with understandable languages they use. All the terms exams are held on time one thing is that examis taken very very strict here.

In today's generation, there is a high demand of developing infrastructure due to which I took civil engineering in our college faculty-student ratio is 1:10 and almost every faculty is PHD cleared in our college exam has tough checking criteria.
There is no such thing as placement strategy but talking of placements, very few students of the civil branch are interested in it.
India is a developing country and there is a huge requirement for Civil Engineers and will be in the coming future for Infrastructure development. So, it would be good, just stay focused on the core subject.
