The surrounding of BIT Sindri has a lot of greenery allowing students a great place to relax their minds. As for access to things, you can easily get the necessary things such as books, notebooks, snacks, photocopy shops, etc. right in front of the main gate of BIT Sindri. However for things such as blankets, pillows, and tin boxes (baksha), then for you have to go to Seharpura market which is approximately 2km away from the college. You can easily find an auto for that and its fare costs Rs 15 (one side), here you find some good cafes. In Seharpura, there is also a park (TATA Park) which is good to visit at weekends.As for healthcare, private clinics are available in Seharpura, however for serious health issues you need to go to Dhanbad which is about 22 Km away. Also, the Dhanbad Railway station is 28 Km from BIT Sindri.

BIT Sindri has been a top college for many years however up until a few years ago BIT Sindri faced a serious downfall in various fields such as faculty, infrastructure, placements etc. for over a decade. It had poor infrastructure such as not properly maintained labs, hostels not being good, the lush greenery just being some wild bushes and not properly maintained shrubs & trees. The faculty also seemed to have lost the motivation to teach and all this led to the college not being able to rank among the top colleges.However, recently there has been a drastic change in all aspects of BIT Sindri, as new construction is going on and placements of the core specialisations have gone as high as 90% while the other fields have also started catching up. The most important part is the low fees making BIT Sindri very affordable to students.

How effective is BIT Sindri in securing job placements for new graduates?

BIT Sindri has a long list of its notable Aluminis, with many of them being placed in big companies such as Tata Steel, TCS, Samsung, Google, Amazon, Adani, and Microsoft. According to our research, we have found that the CDC of BIT Sindri has taken many initiatives to train students to be industry-ready and be placed in the top companies.The placement record of BIT Sindri and the student reviews at Collegedunia indicate that BIT Sindri has about 80 - 90 % placement record in its core specialisations. This college has a supportive environment by seniors, professors.
The Alumini Network of this college is very strong.
The Campus is very green and clean and surrounded with many trees.

Dislikes

It has some lack of facilities like not having a gym for boys.
The Library of this college ipens at 9 am and closes at 5 pm which is very worst thing that i dislike.
This college does not organises fests like other colleges.

Admission:

Honestly talking i don't want but i have not that much rank to get cse in nit so i have to choose it. i was getting good nit but not the branch. soi have choosen it. and one fact is that in this college mostly students are droppers.

according to fees, the building structures are very nicely maintained.
I got to learn to live life with cheapest cost possible.
the faculities of my branch are supportive except some.

Dislikes

The restriction applied by the senior like white formal dress is necessary for first year.
The language used by seniors are so offensive but yeah, with sometime you get to know to handle them.
There is no neaby shops to eat something , even cafe are not allowed for first year. So, need to go MG to eat something but MG are also not allowed to first year.

Admission:

I choose this college because I wat to do MS from foreign college, this college give much time to develop skils and to do preparation for any other competitive exams. you can take admission in this college by applying in JCECEB woth your JEE mains percentile.

the return to investment in this college is very fair.
the infrastructure in this college is very good and still developing rapidly .
the fee is very affordable and the surrounding market is also cheap.

Dislikes

the reservation is very high and sc & st community gets so much advantage .
the college is located at outskirts of main city Dhanbad .
there is some sort of ragging culture which is also present here. Talking about the girls to boys ratio it is 25 to 75.

Admission:

i chose this college over the other because it was convinient for me to travel to this coolege it is near my home town. not only this the college annual expense is very less as compared to different colleges. this is also a government college basically a state government college . i did not get any rejection to the colleges i applied for but this college i thought is best for me. To get admission in BIT Sindri the jee mains result is important. Based on jee mains a Jharkhand based councelling is done where students who applied must be a resident of jharkhand get a common merit list rank and based on that rank one gets admission in different colleges that comes under the jharkhand state . Note that BIT Sindri is the top ranked jharkhand goevernment college.

BIT SINDRI : THE HIDDEN GEM

The return of investment of this college is best in India .
It has a strong alumni network, who help during placements.
It has a huge campus of around 450 acres, so you never feel bore here.

Dislikes

Infrastructure is quite old here for few buildings.
Some lab machines are not in proper condition.
Distance between hostel and lecture hall is around 1.5 km

Admission:

I applied for only the state government colleges in which BIT SINDRI was on my top list because this college has a very strong alumni network as it was built in 1949. The other state government colleges are new and not so good . So if you want to choose best government college in Jharkhand go for BIT SINDRI . The admission process was very smooth you just need to bring some of the documents. For getting admission in BIT SINDRI you must be a local resident of Jharkhand.

The things i liked in Bit Sindri is the affordability and return of investment. The lush green campus 450 acre of land gives a vibrant college life moments.
The number of fooding outlets in the campus is also a good number including a Nescafe ,cafeteria and Maggi spot.
There are twenty two registered club and each branch has its own society and hance creating a vibrant and joyful environment in the campus .Each have its own EVENT.

Dislikes

There are few restriction for first year students which is only valid for few months and there is less accountability on light in hostel.
There is restriction on dress code for each year except final year. the campus is open so there is cattle moment in campus.
Sindri is pretty much in the outskirts of the main town which is Dhanbad for about 22 km away but still our own station called Sindri station and we have local train for Dhanbad in regular interval

Admission:

I choose bit sindri over other colleges due to affordability and strong placement record and reputed civil engineering deparment .the admission process involve JCECE counseling based on jee main scores,with cutoff varing yearly.The process is straight forward ,ensuring merit based selection for deserving candidates.

so the college is very affordable , and the ROI of the college is great and there are different buildings for different departments and also hostels are allotted in the branch wise ...means each branch has specific hostels
Placements in the collage is very much related to the branch you are in and also market requirements. Our college have training and placement cell called TAP cell.
Senior junior relations are very much like an engineering college is depicted in movies, the banter the brotherhood is very energetic. Coming to the clubs we have 22 registered clubs in bit with each branch having its own society.

Dislikes

Campus rules, 1st year students have some restrictions, the restrictions are also for a smaller time and it also adds fun to college life.
College locality lacks food outlets and quality is bit low . The main station is Dhanbad which is 22km away but we have our own station called Sindri station where the local trains starts for DHANBAD at regular intervals
the gym is only allowed for 3rd and final year students with limited equipments.

Admission:

So my college comes under jharkhand government which is following jee mains percentile /ranks for admission. For general category students Scoring above 95 percentile gives them opportunity to have cse branch and gradually decreases for other branches. There are too many reservations here. 1st of which is you must be a citizen of jharkhand state . There are seats reserved for ST/SC and OBC and for general they have EWS category too

Senior and junior interaction are so good in bit sindri.seniors help junior in many aspects, academic and non academic.
Professor are well qualified. Professor are very helpful.
On bit sindri hostel Life is so amazing.In hostels min two or three branch students are live together.so interaction between inter branch is good.

Dislikes

Our college is out side the main city.so of you need to buy anything you need to travel 2 km .

Admission:

This college is good good for below middle class family. Through out the course expenditure upto 3lack is required. Academic is also good in this college. Only IIT and some NIT are good as compared to this college,If students get chance to get admission in this college than they reject bit sindri. One plus point is we get bit sindri in low percentile.student got got 88 percentile also got chance of admission. We get admission through jceceb councelling.
