Likes

Infrastructure was great. College provides you a lot of opportunities through societies and clubs .
The exposure you get here is great, you can meet people from all over India.
Saturanalia, the annual fest is held on a big level.

Dislikes

There was less interaction among faculties and students.
SRS was not taken seriously, then what's the point to get it filled.
Classes are difficult to locate and initial communication is tough.

Course Curriculum Overview

250 students class is taken by one teacher. Faculties are from top universities like IIT, BITS, NIT, or universities from abroad. There are sessionals, MSTs, ESTs which are held time to time to evaluate students.

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 2000000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee and scholarship details are mentioned on thapar.edu which is official website of thapar university. Scholarships are provided on basis of CGPA and JEE score. CGPA cut off is generally around 9 (both odd sem and even sem combined).

Campus Life

Annual fest is saturnalia which goes for 3 days long and is held generally in november. Nava nalanda is the library which has a huge collection of books on all genres. Infrastructure is great especially for computer science students.

Admission

It was through board marks and jee main was the tie breaker. Application form was provided at thapar official website thapar.edu under admission section and all the details regarding end date and the whole process is mentioned there.

Honest Review - Thapar University

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placements from the 6th Sem. More than 300 companies visit the placement drive. Highest 43LPA And Average 9LPA. I guess the Percentage of students getting placements is around 80% but the Computing branches have 100% placements. I have no plans right now.

Remarks:

Well LPU is one of the best private in the city of this country which is providing all the facilities and it is over 600 campus the placements are very good of this University, providing world class facilities like library, campus café, education, faculties. Approx. 660+ companies visiting to lpu every year like Bosch, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, cognizant and mass recruitment companies are also coming here every year

Remarks:

Good college with good faculty

Remarks:

The best thing I found in this college is that it has a friendly environment. Ragging here is strictly prohibited and everyone in the college adhere to it. Coming to some negatives is that the infrastructure of the college is not well developed. As it has been in Chandigarh since 1953 only a few buildings are well developed rest all the buildings are as old as the college.

Remarks:

College is very much concerned about attendance criteria that is the students having attendance less than 75% get detained that is they are not allowed to give semester exams. They will be marked absent in the exam and have to give it in the next semester.

Good faculty and quality of education but less placements

Remarks:

Good college is great in terms of study and material being offered to us the facilities provides to us of ro and 24/7 electricity and water wifi campus Good interaction ability building in student. Bad core companies placements is less hostel rooms for 2nd 3rd year not up to the mark of construction.

I applied for VIT and SRM but didn't take admission due to poor quality of placements and peer group. I am from the General Outside Punjab quota.
