Likes

The thing I liked is that the timing of morning course is very good.
The second is the fees structure for morning batch
The third is spirit of everyone towards your college match.

Dislikes

The faculty is the worst here except one or two professor
Cannot play sport for time pass in the campus
The canteen food is the absolute worst and also the security guard

Though I have not given the term exam, but the timing of term exam sure is good. And for passing I had given the C I A continuous internal assessment test and passing it was pretty easy and seeing the last year's paper and what has been taught passing this term should also be easy

Class Size: 34Course Fees: INR 64000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Financial assistance is only given to backward class member and people who's parent have low income or do not have parents and dependent on other. Also there is no scholarship. And for on campus job there is none but there various opportunity to take prectical experience through placement cell.

Campus Life

There are various social groups in our college like XCS THE REPRESENTATIVE BODY, THEN XFS THE FINCANCE SOCIETY ETC. For events we have entrance events organised by them which are pretty good they give you hands on experience on managing a club etc. And also procuring funds. And for amenities in class room it is the basic requirements that are only provided for.

Admission

The admission process didn't send any updates on wether you are selected or not ,on your mail or sms. The system is too old fashioned and needs a update to go on the with today's "Tech" world. So they should look into it.

Placement Experience:

Idk but i guess students become eligible from 2nd or 3rd sem. Idk what is the company visited but the placements are very good i heard that, avg package varies 2.4 lpa I guess. Right now i am doing internship so as of now i don't have plans.

The best college for professional course students

Placement Experience:

Various companies come to this college for on campus placement Average package= 1000000 Highest package=2200000 Various multi national company and other big and small companies visit this college for on campus placement. Most of the students also get placement opportunities whether large or small package The opportunity is given to all degree whether it be bcom or bcom hons . Any student who does not get placed can easily use the degree to get a high paying off campus placements and to go to any good college or stay in this college for their post graduation.

The course curriculum is backdated and should be improvised as it doesn't give any exposure of present industry knowledge. The frequency of exams is that exams are held after 6 months on semester basis and are easy to pass and majority of the students pass this semester easily.

Decent government college which needs to improve.

The course curriculum is obviously outdated and the knowledge we get through it, is bookish and does not apply to present industry methods. This way we are given no exposure to the real life industry knowledge. The exams are held on semester basis after every 6 months and are easy and manageable.

Quite an Average Government College which lacks in infrastructure, faculty, and placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I mentioned, the course curriculum is outdated and no new industry knowledge is being taught. Projects and assignments are also bookish and are just for sake. Teaching methods by teachers are also bookish and backward. The frequency of exams are after every 6 months and are pretty manageable and easy.

I thought of pursuing engineering and therefore have WBUJEE and JEE both. SXC is invaluable to me!

Admission i tried at almost all the colleges of Kolkata. Goenka was also in my mind as there the classes are in the morning and even St Xavier's Private University as well. SXC is an old pedigree!

There are no entrances like the Delhi University which I gave as well. Here admission are based on 12th percentage and the subjects that we have had. So, for general category in 2025 admission 92.7% from any board was the cut-off. For OBC it was 81 and for SC/ST students it was 73%....Read More

SXC Kolkata is a niche college!!
