I chose this course because I was interested in computer engineering. The faculty ratio is still good. Our faculty is very well qualified. Everyone has almost completed their PhDs. Their teaching methods are very viable. We have different types of evaluation like sessionals for labs, then midterms then end terms and it was not that difficult to pass them just requires the right way to write answers,

There were many different companies like Blackrock, Expedia, Accenture, bain, bcg, etc, and offered different roles like software developers, consultants, etc, and have different stipend amounts like 50k in Blackrock, 40k in Bain, etc.

From 6-7 semester students became eligible for campus placements. There were many companies like expedia, deloitte, blackrock, accenture and made offers to like around 40-50 students. The highest package I think was of expedia around 40lpa and average package is around 9-10 lpa for software engineering role. Around 70-80% students are placed . I am planning to join my job after degree.

Thapar has a fee hike policy of increasing 10% every year. It almost cost me 21-22 lakhs to study. I got a job at united airlines with a package of 8.5 LPA. I did not get an internship during my college time. I applied for off-campus opportunities.

Going to Thapar was an amazing experience. It's like it has its own little world inside. The annual fest of Thapar is Saturnalia and there are lots of societies in Thapar to join for students to get different experiences. Thapar has a huge library and the computer engineering department is well-constructed. We have a projector and digital notepad kind of amenities in the classroom. Thapar also has various sports teams and they host inter or intra-college sports tournaments. There are various clubs run by students like Girlup, frosh, spicmacay, CSS etc.

I enrolled through my Jee score. At that time eligibility for the computer engineering branch was 93 percentile. I filled out the application form on Thapar official website. Improvement í would say it was a very long process of the whole day and lots of forms and applications, so it can be improved.
