Course Curriculum Overview
English Honours gives you a wide gamut of opportunities in numerous fields such as communications, journalism, creative writing and many more. The faculty student ratio is 1:50. The qualifications of the faculty is of a good standing as they have received accreditations from reputed universities. The exams were after every 5 to 6 months and elaborative and detailed answers were expected to pass with flying colours.
Internships Opportunities
Since I did not appear for any internship, that is why I am not sure what type of profiles were offered but I can make a guess as my friends were there in the internship process. There are numerous profiles offered for internship such as junior content writer, digital marketer et.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for the placements in the last semester. There are many companies that come to the placement and there are big fours also. The companies that usually come or highly reputed such as DE Shaw, Axis Bank etc. The highest package has got around 20,00,00 per annum and the profiles of word or relevant for students of management studies. I plan to do job if I do get a decent amount of salary or I will for the study.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees hike policy is not much discussed as nothing of that sort happened. The cost to study was economical. No Scholarships received as such but there are many opportunities for worthy candidates as the college release every year.
Campus Life
The annual fest is not conducted for the past 3 years due to some unavoidable issues. Socities of the college organise regular events to promote cultural diversity and exposure. Almost every necessary book is there in the library. The classroom has got centralised Air Conditioning for the studens for their comfortable studies. There are numerous societies or cultural groups in the college such as Escapade, Kalakmaar, Raaga etc
Admission
The eligibility was the percentage required at that time which was 94.4% for the UR category. Applicants must have studied English subject in class 12th. All the necessary details such aa the application form, fees and dates were there in DU website as the process was fully digitalised. I see no improvement required in the admission process as of now.
