Course Curriculum Overview
I was always very passionate about computers, I was introduced to computers when I was a very young kid and this lead me to choose a career in CSE. Initially, I did a diploma in CSE and then a bachelor's course in the same discipline. The faculty we got at the institute was great. It was hard transitioning to the offline setting after the pandemic but they motivated us to do our best. Most of the faculty was well educated.
Internships Opportunities
I haven't received any intern opportunities as of now. However, I have an FTE offer from Axis Bank for which I am very thankful for that. Maybe the huge number of students the college is enrolling may be a factor that causes some students to not get an internship offer.
Placement Experience
The college works really hard to provide students with the best opportunities to boost their careers. As it was established a long time ago, the alumni support is really good. After my degree, I want to work for a well-established firm and gain as much experience as I can.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee hike is a great con about the college. There is an average fee hike of 20000 every year. The biggest pro according to me is that they provide great placement and internship opportunities for the students.
Campus Life
Thapar has a number of different clubs and societies which organize different cultural fests and invite students of other colleges to visit the campus. The biggest upside of Thapar is the famous "Nava Nalanda Library" which is one of the best out there.
Admission
The admission process was fairly easy. I had to first register on the thapar's official website, the fee of which was INR 1500. After that, I had to submit the demanded documents and then there was a shortlisting for the counseling. In the counseling, the officials were very welcoming and they just asked which course I wanted to join. And after the process, I had to submit the fees and that was it. 3 years later I can say joining this college was the best decision I made. As for any improvements, I didn't face any problems so, I don't think there is a need for any particular changes.
