Admission was through West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination. Notifications of WBJEE release on the website www.wbjee.in. Minimum 50% marks are required in Class 12 in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

I choose this course because my family belongs to the agriculture field. I want to develop technology in the agriculture sector. Faculty: student ratio is 1:2. Faculty is good. Teaching through the smart classroom. Exams are scheduled every 6 months. It is quite difficult.

Class Size: 500Course Fees: INR 14000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Flipkart, Amazon, and Syngenta companies hired the students as business managers, Agricultural scientists, etc. The stipend is 18000. Projects on Soil and Water Engineering, Food Engineering, Post Harvest Engineering, and Farm Machinery and Power.

Placement Experience

After 6th-semester students become eligible for campus placements. Flipkart, Amazon, Syngenta, and many other fertilizers and tractor companies visited the campus for placement. The highest package is 8LPA and the Average 2LPA salary is offered by the companies. 85% of students are placed. My plan after B. Tech is to do M. Tech in Soil and Water Engineering.

Fees and Financial Aid

Total fees in 4 years will be 96000 approximately. I got an Aikyashree scholarship which gives me 20000 per year. I am studying in 2 nd year. So I did not get a job now. My financial source is my family.

Campus Life

Many types of outdoor games such as Cricket, Football, and Volleyball are available. Indoor games such as Table Tennis, and Carrom Board is available. Every year cricket and football tournaments are arranged by the university authority. BCKV students Union's Facebook page is run by students.

From Third semester, the students become eligible for campus placements. The companies like P360, EY, Deloitte, Tech Mahindra, Neutanix, BinaryWorks and few more visited our college for placements and mostly 15 to 20 offers were made Highest package was around 5 to 6 lpa 50% students were placed I am now preparing for govt jobs and side by side also applying for offcampuses. Studentsbecome eligible for placements from 7th semester. Various companies such as TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Godrej, etc. come for placements. Earlier many offers used to come however in the recent years the number of offers made have reduced significantly. highest package comes around 10 to 11 lakhs per annum with average being 4-5 lakhs per annum. I have kept my options open after completion of degree in doing further studies that is Mtech or getting into a job whichever seems appropriate at the situation.

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from 7 and 8 semester also their are many placement on thee intern companies. thier are total of 50 t0 60 companies that visits year which leads to very good placement percentage, in mining its above 90 percent. companies which come are infosys, microsoft, google , coal india, tcs, pwc etc. the higest pacage was 39 lacs by coal india. as mentioned above the placement is very good and almost everybranch placement is between 79 to 95 percentage of student which are placed, their are many mass recruiter if you didnt get the best pacakge you still have the chance to get a good package from the mass recruiter. my plan after degree is to advance in computer science even if i dont have the branch but i have the passion to do coding and become a web developer also i will try to get some more degree like mba and mtech and i will also try if i get selection to study abroad.

Highest packages last year was 47 LPA (off Campus) 27LPA ( on campus). Average pakage was 5-6Lpa. The job role is Software Development. Percentage of Students Got placement is 92-95% In my Deoartment. Other is Around 70_90%. My plans to take placement from product based company.

Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

You have to secure good percentage in Higher Secondary and clear the cutoff (More than 90%) to get into UG. You have to clear cutoff of University exams to get into PG/PhD. Eligibility is 12th with P+C+B or vocational with related subjects from any board. Students can also get admission from ICAR AIEEA (UG) exam. Application forms are available on the official website of the university ( https://bckv.edu.in ) when the application portal is opened. The date varies from time to time, generally, the application starts after the result of the 12th board exam is published. Yes, there are reservations for SC ST OBC students, General EWS students also get the benefit of reservation. In each semester there is one midterm one practical evaluation and one final end term for each course in a semester. Difficulty level is moderate.
