Institute of Jute Technology, Kolkata was established in the year 1951 in the campus of University of Calcutta. It was formed jointly by Calcutta University and Indian Jute Mill’s Association in order to provide education and training to fulfill the needs of manpower in jute sector.

Facilities are good and caring, passed from reputed institution like IIT. They always clear doubt individually. student teacher ratio is around 1:5 infact sometimes external lecturer are appointed for special class.
My course curriculum and syllabus is easy. what professor teches you in the class, they ask questions in between that. Many faculties are hard working and they use to provide us information at their level best.
Yaah this course is very relevant for a better future. There are 8 Semester in 4 years time span. And you need to clear each and every Semester to get the btech certificate after 4 years. The knowledge we gain in this 4 years that's very beneficial for our future placements and all.
As choose Calcutta university because fees are very less as it is a government university. Faculty and labs are quite good than other colleges. Internship and placement opportunities also present here. Students can go for research and higher studies also.
Sometimes course does not available.when it is available they made advertisemnt on paper. Course is very easy.it is a combination of management and engg.so the students have to done engg drawing in first two semesters
