Remarks

This college was 11 for Art's and 10th for Commerce category by IndiaToday 2021 and it shows how good it actually is. Along with NAAC accreditation with Grade 'A' the institute is approved by AICTE and UGC. Various UG courses are available in the college and admission to most of them are based upon the Merit scored by applicants in the exam of qualification.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

BMS is a course especially for students who have decided to go into the Management field and want to go towards their goal from their Graduation itself. The college had various Seminars, Assignment work, Industry talks to help students get the best knowledge and exposure. We also had the privilege to do selection for a Specialisation area for the 5,6th semester of the programme.

Internships Opportunities

4

The internship round was a good one for me because I got placed in a decent internship. The stipend offered to me was pretty low but I was quite invested to work and that's why I accepted the offer so that I can learn as much as I can through that work stint.

Placement Experience

5

Our batch of 2018-19 got a whopping top package of INR 19.5 Lacs and the average salary for BMS was INR 7 Lacs. Famous names like Tech Mahindra, Deloitte, Capgemini and JP Morgan were present and good job roles were bagged. The round was organised under the Placement cell of our college and all required arrangements by the cell to help students perform well in the round

Fee Structure And Facilities

The total fee for BMS course at Mithibai College of Arts was INR 84,000 and students had to pay INR 32 K, 25 K & 27th respectively in the Ist, IInd & IIIrd year of their programme. Students having a good academic profile can apply for the Merit based scholarships available in the college.

Campus Life

5

The college is named as College of Art's but also has courses for Science, Business and other domains. To match the needs of all these candidates, event's related to all fields were organised by the institute. The sport's and cultural events were popular among all, while for my BMS course, the Business conclaves were probably the best thing. A highly popular Library hall, 2 Auditoriums and a variety of labs are available in the college. The placement cell & welfare Committee is also a prominent name in the college

Hostel Facilities

4

No hostel facility is provided by the college which is why PGs become the best option for students to accommodate themselves if they belong to Outstations.Being a Mumbaikar, I used to up-down through the local and that was comfortable for me. Most of the students who joined PGs , decided to live on a triple/4 person sharing basis so that they can get settled quickly and it also helped them to get living facility at a very low price.

Admission

It is important that students interested to pursue their BMS must have completed their XII from CBSE or any recognised State Board with 50% aggregate marks. The college doesn't have an entrance exam for admission and students get selected according to the Merit.

The course curriculum is pretty outdated. I am in cybersecurity specialization and there are only 2 subjects(starting from 2nd year) related to cybersecurity.and those courses are good but the faculty teaching them arent that great. they just read out the ppts, which they dont even share.

Placement Experience:

Placements start from final year. Students become eligible in 7th sem. Training sessions begin earlier. Aptitude and coding practice provided. Mock interviews are also conducted. Preparation quality depends on effort. Many service based firms visit. Some product companies also come. Roles include developer and analyst. Support and testing roles common. Core jobs limited for some branches. Multiple offers for top performers. Average package is moderate level. Top packages go to few students. Around half students get placed. Others find off campus jobs. Internships improve placement chances. My plan is skill based job.
