Likes

I liked the teaching and non teching faculties support
College library is fantastic and also has all the necessary books for one to study
The crowd is full pash and also very intelligence level of students is high

Dislikes

The canteen overcharges in some items and also drinks are expensive
The lecture timings are very odd compared to other colleges
The 75% attendence criteria is very annoying

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is designed in such a way that it helps in future realistic warld and tge whole syllabus is very helpfull in making the student understand how actual things work and what is necessary in the world

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 13000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

I paid ?13000 for FYBCOM including all the facilities of the college Tution fees was 7500per year Admission fees was 1000 Most of the students on merit has the same fees and fees may vary depending on the courses like bscit has ?40000

Campus Life

Our college has many fests like reclamo,kshitij etc Kshitij is the most popular fest of our college as its the largest college fest in asia and it includes celebrity performances like Sonu Nigam, King, Javed Ali etc.

Admission

I also applied in many colleges like kes shroff college and rutumbara college ,NL college of arts and commerce. But Mithibai is a well known college for it's fantastic record in the educational aspect.

Faculty

The teaching faculty is the best as they are very helpful in understanding the circumstances and helps in clearing doubts which help in topic clearity and the technique of teaching is in a very fun way

Interview Experience

The test patterns are so difficult as it needs to be studied thoroughly as for getting good grades in respect to the syllabus and the traching faculty is also helping for such preparations for this level of tests

Night Life

Our college is in the prime location.of vile parle which is surrounded by many famous food places and clubs like the JW Marriot in Santacruz and Tap club at Juhu beach . Juhu beach is the best hangout spot near our college.

Learning in a fun way

Course Curriculum Overview:

The main thing this college or any other college for that matter should do is host people from different walks of life and ask them to brief the students about whatever great things they know. You should also prepare your students for different life skills. A webinar on how to budget properly, how to invest, how to survive in a jungle etc. The practicals that were given to us held very less value in my opinon. It seemed as if we are just doing the practicals for the sake of it.

Placement Experience:

Talking about campus placement, overall rating is Excellent. Some IT companies like TATA Consulatancy Services, Infosys, Wipro, Sutherland, Eclerx. and banking companies includes ICICI AMC, ICICI Bank Pvt. Ltd., TATA AMC, used to visit college campus to conduct assessment round in college itself. Highest package was around 5 lakh per anum and average package was around 3 lakh per anum. I even got placed in TCS with 4.4 Lakh annual salary. Almost 70% of bachmates was placed with more than average package and there were good opportunity for science background also. After getting degree i worked for 1.5 years and now i'm going to persue my career in management roles.

A deep dive into NMCCE, Mumbai

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course is recommended for the students who want to pursue a career in the finance field or if someone who is looking to a course like CFA, this bachelors degree becomes handy. This course teaches you about the financial spectrum of the whole world and gives you an intricate understanding about different financial instruments and their relevance in the society. It teaches one of the most sought after skills in today's world, that is financial literacy. Still I think some of the subjects introduced under the NEP are completely irrelevant such as EVS and IKS. We as college students need to give quality time on some professional subjects, not that these subjects are not important but they need to be emphasised in the early classes. There are three internal exams of 10 marks each and 20 minutes for each paper. The end sem exam is of 30 marks for minor subjects and 60 marks for major subjects. Also I feel that the difficulty level is okay.

Many top firms recruit students from PGCL. Though our college is relatively new, it has been able to provide decent internships and job placements for students. In the 2018-2019 batch, the highest salary package offered was 13.5 LPA. However, for good placements, students also have to make efforts. As I had done FYJC and SYJC from Mithibai college only so I had enrolled in the same college for Bachelor of Commerce course . I had thought for applying in other colleges but no college in Mumbai was providing good infrastructure and facilities at low fees that time.
