Course Curriculum Overview

5

I feel the course has covered all the aspects of business management from entrepreneurship, finance, marketing to logistics and supply chain management and human resource management. So everything is taught from scratch so that students from every background whether commerce, science or humanities feel comfortable. Course structure is 100% relevant and comprehensive. There are field visits and then presentations for real world learning. Each faculty has expertise in their subject. Improvement area I'd say that there could be more subjects related to Artificial intelligence as it's growing day by day. Difficulty level is moderate of exams.

Internships Opportunities

5

There are internship opportunities available by placement cell. There are companies like NextGen, Matchday, Tata group with an average stipend of 8-10k. There are so many roles like operations, marketing, customer service interns.

Placement Experience

5

Placement cell is quite good. Students are eligible for placement in their last semester of course. There are many great companies that come like JP MORGAN, EY, KPMG. Average package of the college is 5-6 lacs but there are high packages according to the skills of the student. I'd like to go for master's after BMS. Different kind of roles are there for students to apply according to their interests in all the fields like finance, marketing, HR, consulting. There is training provided by the college for placemens and there is personal training for individual company interviews if required by students.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees paid be me was 50,000 per year ( inclusive of all the charges). It has been restructured to 76,000 per year for BMS. There is scholarship for Economically Backword Class students available at college's website. The fees I think is really affordable in comparison to other private colleges.

Campus Life

5

My overall campus experience has been amazing. I was a part of club named Finanza in year 2023 and it taught me so many things like handling large crowds, being active, decision making, negotiation skills and so much more. There are also other fests like kshitij, Rotaract club, reclamo, innovation council. They are mostly held in the months of November and December. There are smart boards in all the classes for digital learning. Extracurricular activities like dance, drama , music and all kinds of sports are there and students interested can also join committee named MCC ( Mithibai cultural committee). This commitee provides students with opportunities to go for state level competition in every field. So the Rotaract club does so many social activities and it brings a positive impact on their life. Overall, the college has all the things covered and it will help student grow everyday.

Admission

Mithibai has great placement opportunity as there are big companies that comes for campus placement like KPMG, DELOITTE, JP MORGAN and EY. So it can give great start to students in corporate world. This is one of the reasons I chose mithibai over other colleges. Also there are so many clubs that I can be a part of to form connections, gather ideas and build leadership skills. I also applied to NMIMS, DU and I got admission there. Reason for not choosing was simple that the opportunities for me were more at Mithibai than any other college and it was a great decision overall. Admission process was all online that makes it convenient for outstation students like me. Cut off for BMS is relatively higher than other self financed courses.

Faculty

5

Faculty is approachable by students at all times for doubt clearance. Few faculties I really liked are Prof. Swarupa for her exceptional knowledge delivery, Vinay sir for the level of knowledge he acquires, and Hari Sir for giving life lessons and enhancing leadership skills. The difficulty level of exam is moderate. Very few students fail in specific subjects. Course curriculum is absolutely relevant. Other than tests there are end semester exams which are designed according to the curriculum.

Night Life

4

Campus in time is usually at 6am as most of the lectures starts by 7am and end time is 8pm for girls. During events it can be stretched upto 10pm. Famous hangout places nearby are Anand stall, Nagori tea and chaibucks. The locality is safe during night hours as the college is located at the prime location of Vile Parle West. There is a huge library with approximately 6000 books in all the areas of study. It also has a huge sitting capacity.

Other Applied Colleges

Delhi University - [DU] | Bachelor of Commerce [B.Com] {Hons.}

Mithibai has better opportunities in terms of club participation and internships provided.

Campus placements are okay and mid. Don't expect higher packages like over 7 LPA; the highest was, I think, 6 LPA. Most are campus placements, and the companies coming in are mid-tier too. Not expecting much from here, though.
