Course Curriculum Overview

I've B.A (Psychology and philosophy) as my course. According to NEP you can do majors in psychology from 2nd year onwards and this will be decided on the basis of your result. Only 1st 90 students will be able to secure psychology seat and out of this 1st 45 students will haved aided course and 2nd half will have unaided course i.e they have to pay more than the 1st half but the faculty would be the same and the class is also same for both the halves. Also the course structure is nice and interesting enough.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure for the year 2024-2025 for various undergraduate courses was divided into 3 categories: Regular students, students other than Maharashtra board and ST/SC/OBC category students. For First year BA and B.Com program, regular students need to pay rs. 12,650 and students other than Maharashtra board need to pay rs. 13,370. students from ST/SC/OBC are charged rs. 2,430. For B.Sc the fee is rs. 15,400 for regular students, rs. 16,120 for students other than Maharashtra board and Rs. 2,430 for ST/SC/OBC. The B.Sc (computer science) program has a fee of rs. 66,000 for both regular and other board students while

Campus Life

4

There are many clubs in the college and many fest and events are also held in the college. There are co-curricular activities too from 2nd semester. one can choose from the options given by the college

Admission

I got confirmation letter from colleges like Jai hind, Mumbai and St.xavier's Ahemdabad. But still I chose Mithibai because of its NAAC ranking and best faculties they provide. Also, its fees is quite affordable and the environmental and the crowd of the students is also better than any other colleges in Mumbai.

Faculty

5

The college faculty is excellent and experienced. Mithibai is known for its best faculty also they are very helpful after college hours too. Students can easily approach and contact faculties, not only this professors use unique ways to teach their subjects. ICAs are held in every semester, the number of ica may differ according to subject and after ica there is end sem which is of 30 or 60 or 75 marks depending on the subjects. Also there are presentations and assignments too.

Night Life

5

The college closes at 7 pm. And no college in Mumbai provide hostel facilities because of lack of land availability. One can find ample of PG around college and can stay there. The locality in which the college is situated in very safe.

Quite substandard and below average. Prioritised rote learning over critical thinking. Just a rubber stamp for a degree. No actual education ever took place. Exams were anually or bi annually. Exams were difficult if you cannot write 30 pages in 3 hours.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculam is designed for all round development of the student and to make that person an expert in that field, these aspects influeneced me to choose it. Very well, with extra paper of real world application on each subject it ensures that we take something from the course and become industry ready The teachings methods and cirriculam are excellent I don't think any changes are required Exams are all year round, every month and are extremly difficult to deal with, as Xavier's bar is very high.

Yes, there is no specific place where we get to know that whether the college is open or not on a specific day like the day which has been declared closed by the government. The college doesn’t provide this facility for us. We have to move all towards our home to the college to get this thing.
