21 Nov, 2025 MHT CET will now be conducted twice a year from 2026 onwards for Engineering, Pharmacy, and Management courses. The first session for PCM Group is tentatively scheduled from April 11 to April 19. For PCB Group, the exam is expected from April 21 to April 26, 2025. Check details.

11 Jul, 2025 Government College Of Engineering Yavatmal has released the Fee Structure 2025-26 for UG program. The academic fee is ₹ 73,362 -₹ 98,804 .

About the Institute:

Government College of Engineering Yavatmal was established by Government of Maharashtra in 2018 through upgradation of old Government Polytechnic with an objective of providing Technical education to the students from rural and educationally backward area. The institute is located in the educational area of the city and is spread over the lush green campus of 40.19 acres.

The institute offers undergraduate engineering education (B.Tech.) in five disciplines Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics and Telecommunication and Computer Engineering with an intake of 60 each. The total numbers of students studying in the institute are more than 1300. The institute is affiliated to the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University, Lonere Dist. Raigad. The students admitted in the institute are meritorious and most of the students are from rural areas of Yavatmal and neighbouring districts. Being Government, the institute is charging least fees to students as compared to other engineering institutes in the district.

Ample parking space for parking vehicles
Laboratory was equipped with all essential tools and equipments

Dislikes

College campus was the worst. anyone could enter the campus, our safety was at stake
Staff from the student section didnt coordinated properly with the student, too lazy staff. The staff wasnt even available after the lunch break.

i got my adm in spot rounds i.e. institutional level admission. college campus is not good. teaching staff is good playground for cricket only , no basketball/football court drinking water facility is not maintained.

The main reason is because the average package of this college is to much good than another government college and also for vore branches there are lot of opportunities and also the college doesn't charge extra fees from students

Dislikes

The computers in the lab are not always functioning properly. Sometimes the electricity gets cut off

Admission:

Once you get admission, it is comparatively easy, as you have to just submit your CET document bunch, along with your school leaving certificate and some other additional documents. The receipt fee is to be paid along with your college fee right there, on the College SBI account.

Read Before Its Too Late

Likes

College timings. There is only one shift i.e from 10:30-4:30
Amenities In college area and mode of transportation
Parking space and canteen is quite good for spending time

Dislikes

College has no infrastructure all the building have been too old. Most of windows don't have glass.
As compared to engineering colleges this one is the worst in infrastructure and other parameters
There is only one water filter for all college.

Admission:

Admission Process was quite easy. As soon as the college is allocated. You have to simply come to college. Then the list of all the required documents and fees structure is published in exam section. As soon as the verification of documents are done then payment has to be made and then admission is said to be confirmed

Admission:

Student who are 12th passed with cet exam cleared and diploma passout students can take admission. Every detail about admission is available on college website. Exam burden is not as much. Exam are organized smoothly.

Admission:

It was based on CET scores. In cap rounds, I was allotted this college based on my preference. You should check the official website and the timelines of admission. As I was in the open category, I wasn't eligible for any of the benefits or concessions. But, there were several seats like obc, sc, st, vjnt, ews, tfws. And the students who were in these particular criteria got huge concessions over fees and also received scholarships. The cutoff was not too high. Students with low percentile having particular categories were allotted. But, for the open category, you need to score above the 90 percentile.

After 12th we can take admissions only after clearing CET and JEE entrance exam. As I was from OBC caste Category. I got admissions on JEE with 87 percentage. Admissions process was easy to do. I took admission in Electrical engineering
