You must be graduated (10+2+3 system) with a minimum of 50% of marks from any recognized university. Your honors subject must be Microbiology /Botany/ Zoology /Chemistry/ Physiology/ Biochemistry. If you had any of these subjects in your graduation then you can apply here for Microbiology in post-graduation. Then you have to give an admission test. The admission test will be on 100 maks within 75 minutes. The university create a merit list based on 50% of B.sc honors paper marks 40% of admission exam marks and 10% of Madhyamik & higher secondary marks. There is a reservation available for minority students.

I want to research various topics of microbiology. That's why after graduation I have been admitted to Msc and later I want to do a Ph.D. We have 20 students approx in our department. And we have 4 professors so our student-faculty ratio is very healthy. All of the faculties are highly qualified and all of them have done Ph.D. They are very interactive in online and offline classes. We have special laboratories for our practical classes. Many seminars in microbiology are organized every year. We have 4 semesters and for every semester we have 6 months. And we have practical exams. Exams are not very easy to pass

For the general category, the student fee is Rs 20000 per semester. But in covid times admission form cost was waived and fee structure has been decreased. University does help needy students to reduce their fees. So the total cost of study varies a lot depending upon the many factors. However, you can apply for many scholarships. If you apply for SVMCM scholarships you will get Rs 30,000 per year which is helpful. And if you are a girl you can apply for Kanyashree. And you can apply for private scholarships too. No job campusing system is available here.

When I was admitted to the university covid start increasing so I have spent most of my university life sitting home. I have not seen any cultural programs as the university was closed. It's really sad for students. Our library room is very good. And every department books are available there. You can use a library card to take a book to your home. Our classroom is clean and wide-spaced. We have good hostel facilities for students. Our campus is good with a lot of trees are covered. We have sports ground and many different sports activity
