The faculty is not recruiting any new professor which is actually needed.

Course Curriculum Overview

This course was choosen because I wanted to study statistics and I was getting the masters degree certificate also. The students wants to study but the faculty member is lessening. It's in a very bad condition because there is no recruitment and moreover no young teacher.

Class Size: 6Course Fees: INR 15000 per year

Placement Experience

There are some companies that come for on campus placement. I ll definitely try to get recruited by one of this companies but if at the end things don't do as planned then it's goin to be off campus. Which is really going to be hard.

Fees and Financial Aid

The cost of a government college is always less as compared to private ones. So the same goes here. As it is a government college it is really moderate for middle class family .I still am in the process of studying so let's see what happens

Campus Life

The annual fest happens every year once and we have got the freshers and farewell apart from that there is no other activity . There's a common library of the university. We have got a lot of variation of book. Sports and other drama and everything you have apply for it . Every year there is a 1week students union program where a lot of activities are held.

Admission

There was no entrance exam. There was just a online interview of the cutoff which was 65% and whether you are eligible for this seat or not. There admission form everything is available on their official website.

I've always found economics to be really interesting and thats why I choose to persue it. I wanted to dive deep into the actual concepts and workings of the economy and understand how the world works from an economist's point of view. Sadly the curriculam doesnt bridge the gap between theory and real life. It focuses heavily on textbook and not how the world works.

Completely relevant. As the college is autonomous it has its own syllabus. Which matches with the net gate jam exam syllabus. When someone came our college for seminar they strange that we know this much. Exam are quite difficult in 2 months interval.

The Physical Chemistry faculties are the best I got, that influenced me to carry forward my research carrier in Physical Chemistry. The curriculum for the Physical and Inorganic chemistry are upto the mark and I felt improvement in teaching style and curriculum is required for Organic Chemistry part. Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say the course is good but you have to opt for masters and PhD to get a good placement. After bsc there's not any placement. The curriculum was basically practical and theoretical based. But I think it should be more practical so that we can get a job after doing bsc. The teaching method was good I didn't have any problem with that. As it was under Calcutta University so the exam questions were too difficult, sometimes it came out of our syllabus , i think they should change this a little bit .

The reality of SCC

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus for BSc. Microbiology Hons. was in line with my interests. Few topics like virology, bacteriology, and diversity of the microbial workd are what drew my attention to pick this course. Although there are some portions which one would consider "boring", but I believe every subject has its interesting as well as boring portions. It's seems fair to judge a subject by seeing if the "boring" portions outweigh the "interesting" parts or not.

In terms of relevance and comprehensiveness of the course curriculum, my rating is solid 4.1 out of 5. Because it offers a variety of courses like compulsory english, environmental science, constitution values of India, Inter Disciplinary Courses where one can opt for a variety of subjects which change along with the course proceeds or semester changes. Not only that two major papers and one minor paper are present throughout the semester. As a student we should be well aware of our country and its law as well as how we can keep our environment healthy followed by sustainable development.
