Remarks

Admission was based on class 12th physics, chemistry, and maths marks. Students above 75 % were eligible for admission. Only 30% of seats were filled on this basis. Other 70 % were filled on the basis of Jee mains. In my case, the first computer science cut-off was 95.67%. Overall, the experience was good at the admission centre.

Course Curriculum Overview

This course is the best in the industry. in today's world, one must have knowledge of computers and programming languages. so, the reason I choose this is to gain knowledge of computers. And this type of knowledge is in demand in today's world.

Internships Opportunities

Companies that visit campus for internship are optimum with 35000/- stipend, arcesium with 100000/- stipend, DE shaw with 150000/- stipend, salesforces with 90000/- stipend. they select on the basis of test and interview.

Placement Experience

College placement is really good on campus. Any semester student can apply for companies. Sometimes companies also have their own criteria. famous companies who visit campus are DE shaw, arcesium, apple, Samsung, and many others.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are high but if you see the quality of life on campus then it feels nothing. The total fee of my course including the hostel is around 19 lakhs. Yes, if you are in the top 10 % in class then you get tuition fees to wave off.

Campus Life

LIfe at the campus is good if you want a study as well as a cultural atmosphere. There is a good number of books in the library, one can issue them for 1 month period only. Library of the university most beautiful place to go and spend time.

Hostel Facilities

5-star rooms are in the hostels. It feels like a hotel, not a hostel. Rooms are quite fancy and well furnished. Common stuff include are study table, bed, Almira, dustbin, and others. To register for hostel faculty float a google form.

Chandigarh University - My experience from fees to social life

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is good and cover every aspects of learning and skills needed in today's time but it feels the semester get over to fast in around 3.5 months with 3 exams and lab exam. They should provide the real learning based on a student interest some student are good in coding but they lack to communicate better, they should focus on that part also as they also do in many cases by giving subjects like soft skills and communication skills every sem.The teacher should not be reading the ppt only . We can do that also why we are paying that much fees just to learn from a teacher who is just reading the slides.

Course Curriculum Overview:

i would rate the course curriculum as largely relevant and fairly comprehensive,. one of the main reasons i chose this course was the balance between conceptual foundations and practical exposure. the curricuum supports future academic growth since many of the modules introduce us to advance topics early, making it easier to explore research. some topics feel slightly outdated and could be aligned better with the current industry skills and technologies. the exam schedule is manageable, though sometimes multiple assessments happen in the same week or same day, ehich adds pressure . Spacing out evaluations a bit more and giving clearer rubrics could improve the overall experience

Honest is the best Policy

I applied for VIT and SRM but didn't take admission due to poor quality of placements and peer group. I am from the General Outside Punjab quota.
