Remarks
The admission process was really smooth. I had to transition from BBE to BMS when the Spot Allotment list came out and the faculty made it really easy to switch. Even though we're in a pandemic as of writing this review but the level of infrastructure is outstanding from what I have heard and is certainly true taking into consideration their online experience. The availability of SmartProf is truly a game-changer altogether. The college has provided me with loads of learning opportunities, helped me network, get into college societies and lastly helped me get into an internship at one of the Big 4 firms. Really grateful and I hope this review helps out those looking to take admission in SGGSCC, University of Delhi.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose BMS because I've always had an inclination towards Finance and BMS does offer a specialisation in the third year. The faculty to student ratio stands close to 1:40 which is actually pretty good. As far as exams were concerned, the Internal exams were moderately tough but I think they really helped me prepare for the real Semester exams
Internships Opportunities
The Placement Cell offers a variety of internships in the field of Equity Research, Marketing, Business Development, HR, Finance etc. The mean stipend is close to 5,000 per month but companies with higher stipends do come as well
Placement Experience
The college offers really good placements from companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC, Bain and Co, TresVesta and many more. The highest package this year was 21.4L for DE Shaw and the mean was around 6.5 L per annum (CTC). The percentage of students getting placements was close to 75-80%.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee for BMS in SGGSCC is towards the relatively higher side at 44,200 in the first year and 86,400 in total but considering the infrastructure and the services offered, it's worth the money. I actually got an internship opportunity at one of the Big 4 firms, hence I can assure you that the college will offer a plethora of opportunities.
Campus Life
We haven't been able to experience campus life yet due to the pandemic but from what I have heard from seniors is that it's pretty good. The college is moderately big so plenty of spots to hang out. The cafeteria is really good and especially the Library, the largest in DU if I'm not wrong. The college does boast a huge cricket field too with professional matches happening every other day.
