Remarks

It is the 2nd best college by ranking under WBJEE. We have to give WBJEE exam, usually conducted after JEE Mains. Went through collegedunia website while selecting the college. Bad point - Infrastructure,nearby areas are not good

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose CSE because of my liking for programming. Each class have around 65 students. Faculty members are well qualified. Classes are not so regular in few subjects. No minimum attendance needed in reality.

Class Size: 65Course Fees: INR 6000 per year

Placement Experience

Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester. Usually TCS visits the college with ninja and digital package. 60% of the CSE IT students get hired. Highest is 7 to 9Lpa and average is 4Lpa. Many students gets off campus placements with high CTC

College Events

Espektro is the annual techno cultural fest held around march. It's a 2days technical and 3 days cultural fest with well known artists coming to perform each day. Books and journals are available but not that much. Latest books may not be available. No such sports activities by colleges. Hostels organise their own sports events. No. Of clubs run by the students solely. We have one of the best ECELL in West Bengal.

The campus placement from recently past years is slightly good . Like tcs infosys cognizant ibm Capgemini like companies comes every year with good placement and capsitech gives you internship from 3 year . From 7th sem you are eligible for campus placement in 2025 the avg package is 5-7 lpa and Highest lpa is 75lpa . My plan is getting good job in good company

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months

SXC Kolkata is a gem of a college.

Placement Experience:

Computers are so vast that masters is mandatory and therefore I have certain plans for that. However big scale IT companies come here and students of Computer science Hons have had placements worth 6-10 lakhs easily. My plans are to appear for the job interviews but not taking any as I want to study more.

SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.

I gave West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination in 2024. I scored a decent rank but due to high cut off of this year I didn't get good branch in Jadavpur University.
