Remarks

Classrooms are clean, and the Wi-Fi facility is available throughout the building. Labs and library are well-maintained. Hostel rooms are not so good, but the LAN connection is available in every room. There are 2 playgrounds for sports and games. Food quality served is average. Medical facilities are also available here.

Course Curriculum Overview

Teachers in our college are very much helpful well-knowledgeable and friendly. Overall, teaching quality is average. I think the course curriculum is relevant for us, and it will help us to be industry-ready. It will also help us to apply for new jobs in future. Mechanical department is really good.

Course Fees: INR 7500 per year

Placement Experience

95% of the total students are placed in different companies this year.The highest salary offered was 15 lakh. The lowest salary is 8 lakh. Average salary is about 9 lakh. 3. TCS, Tech Mahindra come to recruit from the mechanical department of jgec. Roles like designer, worker in factories are given to the students. 100% students got internships in various companies like DSP, NTPC, Mahindra and Mahindra and other big companies.

College Events

Campus life is very enjoyable and cool. Here various extracurricular activity is there like Robotics, Computer gaming take place. Cultural event also take place.Fees structures is very less as its a government engineering college. The course Costs rs. 14155 per year. Thus the fees is very less and there is a chance to learn more.

The campus placement from recently past years is slightly good . Like tcs infosys cognizant ibm Capgemini like companies comes every year with good placement and capsitech gives you internship from 3 year . 7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months

SXC Kolkata is a gem of a college.

Placement Experience:

Computers are so vast that masters is mandatory and therefore I have certain plans for that. However big scale IT companies come here and students of Computer science Hons have had placements worth 6-10 lakhs easily. Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.
