Remarks

Good FACULTY,good INFRASTRUCTURE,good PLACEMENT,competitive learning environment (whether it's COMPETITIVE CODING or DEVOLOPMENT or even ACADEMICS) which is the key to crack big product based companies or GATE exam for getting admission in M. TECH in IIT's NIT's with a 3 or even 2 digit AIR.

Course Curriculum Overview

Our college is not autonomous. Our college follows the curriculum of our university Maulana Abul Kalam Azad university of technology which I think is not good as compared to premier institutions of India like IIT's or NIT's. Industrial exposure is not sufficient. So a student has to apply off campus for internships & placements. Not all faculties are good, some are extraordinary, some are good, some are average & some are mediocre.

Placement Experience

3

Mass recruiters like Tcs, Cts, Epam, Cognizant, wipro visit our campus. They generally offer 3.5-4 lakhs per annum salary. Sometimes they offer 7-8 lakhs per annum salary also. These companies come to our college. They take coding test, aptitude test & short list students & offer them jobs. Our training & placement cell is very active. Inspire of that our college has iipc cell which offers internships & resources every month through their newsletters. Alumnies play a great role for job purpose. They give referrels for big tech companies. Our 4 seniors got job to these 4 big tech companies -Google, Amazon, Microsoft, De shaw this year which is great. One of my senior has a startup company named Mindwebs for web development, so many startups are there. Our entrepreneur cell is very active & vibrant. They has annactive Facebook page, website where they publish regular business related content, organizes frequent workshops, biz-tech quizzes, e-summits etc.

College Events

4

The name of freshers welcome event is plexus which is a 1 day event. The name of our techno-management fest is Espektro which is a 4 day event. Many technological events of coding, development as well as gaming like pubg, csgo, chess, many cultural events are organized.Renowned Indian musicians come to our college to entertain us. Our college has E-cell which organizes some business related events, biz-tech quizzes etc. Our maths club organizes several maths events throughout the year.

Fees and Financial Aid

I availed Swami vivekananda merit cum means scholarship. There are also many scholarship schemes like tution fee waiver scheme, national scholarship, g d birla scholarship, jagadish chandra bose national science talent search senior scholarship, oasis scholarship for reserved canditates etc

Campus Life

Sports facilities are good. Badminton, cricket, football facilities are there. Every year our college organizes our annual sports events for students & as well as teaching staffs.Wifi facilities are stable in both the places like hostels & college buildings. library is big. You will get sufficient number of books. You can borrow books twice inna month. But you have to return the book on time. Otherwise they will charge you a large amount of fine. You should be aware of that. I am a freshman student. So to my view equipment in labs are quite sufficient. I have heard from my seniors from 2nd - 4 th years that equipment of the labs of senior years are quite good.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels rooms are big, good. One has to share room with 3 more students. There are 4 hostels. Acharya prafulla chandra roy Hall for 1st years boys, Raja rammohan roy hall & vidyasagar chatranibas for 2nd to 4th year boys & pritilata chatrinibas for 1 st to 4 th year girls. There are also hostels for graduate students. I think hostel seats are quite sufficient to accommodate all students. Many students don't prefer hostels. They stay as paying guests in the surrounding of the colleges. Avg rentals for paying guests is like 2.5-3.5 thousands & for food one has to spend nearly 3.5-4.5 thousands per month. Though you can get pg rooms quite lesser than the average it sometimes depend on the luck.

I decided to choose this course because I have completed my bachelor's from this college. I know the facilities and I know how good they are in teaching. And last but not the least, scholarship opportunities are there so I the expenses on study is recovering from scholarship amount.

I’d rate HIT’s placement opportunities as 7.5/10 overall. It’s very good for CSE, IT, and ECE, decent for Electrical and core branches, and improving every year with more companies visiting and better preparation programs. If you’re skilled and consistent — especially in coding, communication, and aptitude — you’ll almost certainly get placed before graduatin

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months

My plans are to appear for the job interviews but not taking any as I want to study more.
