Remarks

The proxmity with my house caused me to consider this college. Since this was a well known college I decided to join in so that I could commute easily. I also had some of my seniors from this college who motivated me to join in too. My teachers too told me that this was a good college.

Course Curriculum Overview

Kamala Nehru College was well founded in the year 1964 by Mrs. Kamala Nehru & is affiliated to Delhi University. In the beginning, it was entitled as Government Women’s College but after few years it renamed as Kamala Nehru College. The main motive of college is to instill in students to think independently & live confidently. The faculty is good and curriculum is stagnant as in it hasn't bedn changed since 10 years.

Placement Experience

The placement cell is popular but we do not see a great placement. Top Notch companis all go to north campus. The campus placement is really okayish if not the best. I have not heard of any famous startup whaysoever however there has been a huge outflow from administrative services.

College Events

This is an all girls college which makes it relly safe. There are A lot of festivities which are a part of this college 's culture. The management is effective and experienced too. They are pretty awesome and there is a lot of turn up.

the curriculum is decided by delhi university, economics wing and is followed by all the colleges of du, although few topic are often irrevelent which teachers tend to skip. i do feel that curriculum is pretty old and they should introduce new topic which are more related to reak=l world and give us real life experience not just bookish knowledge which is irelevent. they should also ask for students input related to their curriculum, teachers sometimes tedn to just do book reading. internal exmas are taken frequently and difficulty is 3 out of 5

Course Curriculum Overview:

It is a good course. I went for it mainly because I am preparing for UPSC CSE (pretty common around here). In that context the course is helpful, and also for those aiming to enter research, academia, museology, archaeology etc. However there are not many placement opportunities and for most it would be better to pursue masters later on. Teaching methods are inclusive, both english and hindi medium students can comfortably study. However both students and faculties have some complaints regarding the curriculum changes under NEP such as the sequence of courses in each sem.

Great college with good faculty and student crowd

Placement Experience:

Placements is for 3rd year students. Many good companies visit our campus like bajaj capital, oberoi group. Highest package is around 22 lakhs. We have a lot of internship and placement opportunities come in for students.

Course is rightly designed. Plus the teachers often suggest books that can be read from library regarding course topics. The library is very nice here. I used to study in the library for long hours. Honest review of Pros and Cons of DCAC

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is done in the 3rd year. The highest PPO given is 24,00,000 to auditing and taxation departments. Average package is about ?15,00,000 to ?18,00,000. Companies like Eay, KPMG and more visit our college for placement. Most students under the commerce department get offered internships. Other than this, the placement cell also actively keeps sending internship opportunities for students to enhance their profiles. I am an English honours student l, thus there is no placement option for me directly unless I take up options from the P-Cell. I have already interned at EY India, Gurgaon, as a forensics and risk management specialist( throigh personal referral).My knowledge (attained from DCAC) of research, report and article writing were used adequately.

Generally, after BA no one is placed and even if we apply for a job we don't get a good package. So, students generally go for masters or some other courses through which they can get placements. Talking of college placement and internship cell we don't have very good facilities as very limited companies are there for recruiting students. Many students don't even get the internship. This is a major negative point of college.
