Remarks

Kamala nehru college is a college famous for it's social sciences and that is the main thing that attracted me towards this college and for me my course was the first preference. The sociology and psychology department of this college is really good

The updated course was good but the topics we had before the updates was much more interesting and more relatable to the subject. We didn't had enough industrial exposure but the faculty was good enough to help us with ghe subject and related issues

Placement Experience

There are pretty good packages available after graduation amd good placements of job the named companies are connected from my college. The alumni network is really good the alumnies help almost in every type of need and are great advisors

Campus life is very much fun being a society member makes it more happening for me there are always activities held in the college somewhere or the other from academic programs to cultural events my college holds everything in a good way. Tho this year because of the uncertain events happening in our country and the world we couldn't have much of fests.

Compared tp other delhi university campuses i am not very happy and proud of our infrastructure. Honestly it doesn't look like we are one of the good DU colleges. Plus the washrooms aren't very clean the pad machines are very moody, canteens have been very crowded and most importantly our favorite spot to be the nescafe has been removed

the curriculum is decided by delhi university, economics wing and is followed by all the colleges of du, although few topic are often irrevelent which teachers tend to skip. i do feel that curriculum is pretty old and they should introduce new topic which are more related to reak=l world and give us real life experience not just bookish knowledge which is irelevent. they should also ask for students input related to their curriculum, teachers sometimes tedn to just do book reading. internal exmas are taken frequently and difficulty is 3 out of 5

Course Curriculum Overview:

It is a good course. I went for it mainly because I am preparing for UPSC CSE (pretty common around here). In that context the course is helpful, and also for those aiming to enter research, academia, museology, archaeology etc. However there are not many placement opportunities and for most it would be better to pursue masters later on. Teaching methods are inclusive, both english and hindi medium students can comfortably study. However both students and faculties have some complaints regarding the curriculum changes under NEP such as the sequence of courses in each sem.

Placements is for 3rd year students. Many good companies visit our campus like bajaj capital, oberoi group. Highest package is around 22 lakhs. We have a lot of internship and placement opportunities come in for students.

Course is rightly designed. Plus the teachers often suggest books that can be read from library regarding course topics. The library is very nice here. I used to study in the library for long hours. Honest review of Pros and Cons of DCAC

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is done in the 3rd year. The highest PPO given is 24,00,000 to auditing and taxation departments. Average package is about ?15,00,000 to ?18,00,000. Companies like Eay, KPMG and more visit our college for placement. Most students under the commerce department get offered internships. Other than this, the placement cell also actively keeps sending internship opportunities for students to enhance their profiles. I am an English honours student l, thus there is no placement option for me directly unless I take up options from the P-Cell. I have already interned at EY India, Gurgaon, as a forensics and risk management specialist( throigh personal referral).My knowledge (attained from DCAC) of research, report and article writing were used adequately.

Generally, after BA no one is placed and even if we apply for a job we don't get a good package. So, students generally go for masters or some other courses through which they can get placements. Talking of college placement and internship cell we don't have very good facilities as very limited companies are there for recruiting students. Many students don't even get the internship. This is a major negative point of college.
