St. Xavier's College is undoubtedly, one of the best colleges of the nation, a great place of learning and at the same time, fun-filled.

There was no entrance exam. It was in the basis of Std 12 results. I opted for this college as it is India's one of the top colleges in commerce.

The curriculum was engrossing, was in depth and covered a variety of topics ranging from accounting, auditing, taxation and finance. The topics were well taught with practical examples that facilitated easy learning and grasp.

I did my internship from a Chartered Accountancy firm specialising in Mergers & Acquisitions department. The stipend offered was average, around INR 7,500 per month.

Google, Uber, Grofers, E&Y, PWC, KPMG, Deloitte, Futures First, Punjab National Bank, Axis Bank, etc. The average pay package was INR 4-6 Lacs with the highest reaching INR 14 Lacs.

Different events are held all round the year, some being Xavotsav, Beyond Barriers, Goonj which saw famius celebrities like Sonu Nigam, Sunburn come to college and perform.

The fee structure is a bit on the higher side, monthly fee being INR 2,400 per month. Apart from this, there is no major fee charged by the college authorities.

I didn't avail any of the loan facilities offered by the college. There are a number of them for students like one scheme provides for reduction in college fee in case of low income of the parent.

The college boasts of a number of such events like Intelligentsia, Inertia, X-Calibre, etc. which invites eminent personalities invoving a one-to-one with the students.

I have never stayed in the college hostel, so, wont be able to describe the hostel facilities in detail. However, the inmates of the hostel describe it to be adequate given the requirements.

The alumni network of the college is very strong. The annual event Beyond Barriers is organised by the college alumini. The alumni has been sponsoring different events and developmental activities in the college.

The exams are held semi annually with internal assessment tests going on all round the year. At times, these tests do become hectic, otherwise, the exams were well conducted and organised.

The faculty was good. They were very learned and dynamic who helped students in person resolve any queries. However, i feel there is a scope for amelioration.
