The environment is student friendly. However improvement is needed. The university's administration has become somewhat slow in doing work in recent years. This is mostly due to the fact that the higher ranked officers have become too much flexible.

The course curriculum is up to date as required. The course is designed as per UGC guidelines and revised in every few years. The examinations are held every month and relative grading is followed. There are two class tests, one mid term and one endterm in every semester.

The placement scenario is not very good. Only a few companies and few PSU come to the University for placement. However the situation is improving these days as university is getting higher ranks in various surveys.

There are various events celebrated in the university. There is TechXetra which is one of the biggest techfest in the northeast region. Other than that university week is celebrated with lot of enthusiasm. Lots of regional festivals such as bihu are also celebrated.

The fee structure is quite feasible. The fee structure is made considering the students need and might be higher than many central universities due to the infrastructure it offers. However compared to the CFTIs, the fee is quite less.

The university does not provide any loan facility. For Ph. D. scholars, it provides monthly fellowship to those who are not externally funded as per government rules. For economically backward meritorious students, there is facility for free studentship.

There is one gymkhana in the students activity centre. There are indoor badminton stadium and yoga centre also present there. The university has one football cum cricket field and swimming pool for the students. Apart from these, there are tennis, basketball and volleyball courts also present.

I have opted for hostel. The university is residential type and every student is by default given hostel accommodation. The hostels are well furnished and are built only a few years back. Every hostel has mess facility. Differently abled persons are also provided with accessible facilities.

The alumni network is not that good. Senior students are really helpful if they know you. Senior students are well placed and they can help you meet new potential employers too. For building alumni strength, the university has started creating alumni database in this year.

To get admission candidates must write Tezpur University Entrance Examination (TUEE) conducted by the university on May- June every year. The examination is Multiple Question Type and is conducted in all major cities of India.

The faculties are very research oriented. Though they are not the best available in the country, they do a fairly good job in educating students. Faculties generally stay inside the campus. Most of faculties are very approachable.
