The course of zoology is very vast and is not only limited to animals only. It is a very vast course with various core subjects in it. The biomedical line, bioinformatics, animal behaviour, environmental studies courses like this are very reputated in todays world with leading companies having consultants from this core subjects

Internships are available for the different courses may it be humanitiees or sciences. Internships from institutions like IITs, ICMR are offered. Ongoing projects mostly invite for the internships. Also internships from sericulture depatment one which is very famous in the region of Assam offers internships to this institution.

The course I applied for was Masters in Zoology with a specialization of Biochemistry and Animal Physiology in Handique Girls College under Gauhati University. The tution fees is 20000 per semester, registration fees is 5000 which include lab fees and development fees as well. Scholarship are available to categories and sudents falling under EWS category. Various quotas like Sports Quota, NCC Quota are available.

The campus life is very enggaging with various events taking place all through out the year. Various artists and also to enggage women empowerment differrent events takes place to upgrade students innovative minds in various sectors.

I did applied for Delhi University but didnt get to it. After careful decision I opted Handique Girls College as it is in the city with great transpotation. I could not live my parents all alone and had to make the decision to study from my hometown and it is an government institution with affordable fees.

The faculty to student ratio is good for every 10 students one faculty is always on site. The faculty members are very good they are very friendly and helpful. I like almost all of my faculty members out of them would excel my HOD and two three assistant professors. There non to dislike them because of the bond we have among us. One common entrance is taken for the addmission of the students by the respective university. The entrance level is though but one can achieve through strong preparation. Only 500 students are selected all over the state as well as from the country for the course of zoology an ddistributed among the affiliated colleges under the university.

Yes for a heathy fit college gym is provided with an affordable fees, a huge library with great sources of books are available. Hotels are available with strict policies and timmings. Since this college is situated infront of a lake the off campus area is very peaceful and many hangouts are there as it was one of the places famous from British reign.
