- Ambience is great. The environment of college is very good and clean
- Being a very old college it has a different aura. A darrangian will able to understand it
- Some of the teachers are also good and also personally my department is great
Dislikes
- Teaching ways is not that great. It should be improved
- Most of the teachers there still follow the traditional way of teaching
- Some of the classrooms are very conjusted and not enough spacious.
Course Curriculum Overview
It is great. The curriculum of our college is very good. There are different fields where one could apply apart from studies. Like - NCC,NSS and even many cultural fields. Students who are culturally active will get a lot of opportunities here
Fees and Financial Aid
One has to pay 180000 per semester for admission and separate exam fee for each semester and their is also scholarship provided for students whose family annual income is below 8 lakh or less. The name of the scholarship is Ishaan Udoy. There are also several different scholarship for different caste students
Campus Life
The campus life is good. I am not a hosteller but one thing I could assure that one will fall in love with the campus life of our college. Darrang College is known for its ambience and beautiful environment
Admission
I like the place and the environment of our college. Tezpur is a very beautiful place and our college itself is very beautiful. It was established in 1945 and it is beautiful since then. I love studying here
Faculty
The teachers are great. Not everyone but maximum of them are very good and has great experience in life which is beneficial for us. I guess there should be more teachers for each department. The current scenario is like there are many teachers in one department while the other has rarely one or two due to which the classes are not regular sometimes
Interview Experience
No.. there were no group discussion or any interview. But there is an entrance system which is conducted by gauhati university for itself and for its affiliated colleges. One should get the cut off marks and there also seats according to reservation
Night Life
Night life like I said will be great for the hostellers . They can play badminton or even outdoor sports. The night life outside the college is also good. One won't find any difficulty to get any items like food or other stationaries
