Review of IIT Guwahati - A Beautiful Campus

Course is nice. I'm doind msc physics because i love physics. The syllabus is well managed. Also the exam structure is. In four months semester there will be exams as follows Quiz 1 - 10% weightage Mid sem - 30% Quiz 2 - 10% Endsem - 50%

For placements, in the last semester form will be filled by the students for the placements. Different companies will come and you will be given choice for the companies to apply according to your CV. Then there will be a process of company. There are different round of placement test, GD and at last interview.

There are different events celebrated in college All the festivals are celebrated in the college Apart from them there are 1. Techniche - Tech fest 2. Alcheringa - cultural fest 3. Inter IIT sports meet 4. Spardha - Inter hostel sports meet 5. Manthan - inter hostel cultural meet

Fees is not so much for msc students Our total fees for one semester is around 23000 In which 14000 - for mess 4000 - hostel 3000 - tution fess 2000 - other In other Catagory medical and other facilities are there.

For SC - ST students they are providing free laptops and also they are giving 2500 per semester for the books. And for sc - st there is no tution fees is charged. Also for the Gen & OBC if their family income is low they are returning the tution fees and also giving 1000 per month to the students.

For extracurricular activities In the Evening all sports are played in the ground There are teams for each sports practicing daily in the ground. Also there are different clubs for different interest peoples Photography club Dance club Singing club And all kinds of games are there including yoga.

Hostel are very nice here. Here are total 13 hostels 10 for boys and 2 for girls and one for married scholars. All are students are provided with single rooms in which we have and almirah one chair one table. And there are nice and clean Bathrooms 1 per 3 students.

Yes there is an alumni department also in our college which handles all alumni Network through which we can contact all our alumni and senior students. They are very helpful, if we have any Problem we feel free to contact them and take help from them.

For msc : You have to give entrance exam name as IIT Jam, after that there will be counselling rounds in which you will get different IIT's according to your rank. There will be three rounds of counselling.

All the faculty members are well studied from the best universities. Mostly are post doc from the foreign universities. So the faculty is well educated. And the teaching is also nice. While syllabus is teached according to the time because of four month semester.
