- It has a pleasant environment with huge trees which gives reliefs in summer days.
- Bus connectivity should be improved and they are sometimes late
- Infrastructure of this university is top class. Professors are well educated with PhD degree and the roads are well designed
Dislikes
- Some arrogant professors and their ignorance behaviour is not suitable for students
- The market inside the campus should be improved with more shops
- The hospital inside the campus is in very poor condition
Course Curriculum Overview
The reason behind choosing this course is my deep interest in research area as our department shows good result in research domain .The curriculum provides us some topics that are to be deeply understood like we are imagining those topics in 3-D way and that will helps us in future aspects. The thing that need to be changed in our curriculum is course pattern itself because it lacks familiarity with CSIR - NET syllabus. The exams are held in the month of June and December and the difficulty level of the exam is from moderate to hard
Fees and Financial Aid
There is no increase in tution fee . The complete cost would be around 70-80k with hostel accomodation. Student recieve fee waiver scheme in admissions and SC & ST students get financial assistance for pursuing the courses . Our university doesn't generates employment for masters students
Campus Life
Most fests were held in BKB Auditorium by GUPGSU ( Student Union ) and departments . Rest of the fests are hosted by hostels. Our library has wide range of books including science , commerce ,arts , religion and many more .Our classes are provided with projector which helps us to give seminars in any topic .Two classrooms were provided with AC University hosts around 40-45 indoor and outdoor sports in university week. Hostel Facilities
Two beds and two Chair &table are provided in a single room .Two students from different departments should live in one room Meal provided in hostels are good and healthy. Morning = Daal, Rice , Potato and other vegitable fry Night = Daal , Rice , Chicken /Fish / Egg The hostels were provided by departments during admission time . Locality= Sundarbari, Sathmile , Garigaon , Lankeshwar , Dharapur ,Kailashpur You can get rent and pg in these localities with affordable rates .
Admission
To get admission in PG course you need to be a bachelors degree holder with 55 percentile for General/OBC and for SC/ST it would be 45 percentile. Then you have to clear the GUPGET and my rank was 9th in other university category . Own university students has 80 percent reservation and for the other university students it is 20% . The cutoff would be around 33-35 out of 100 for general student.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is 7:40. Due to enough professors for the required course , we never faced incomplete syllabus. Their approach towards teaching is very healthy . I interact with them after class for clearing my doubts
