Remarks

TU is a central government university and the ambience is majestic out here. I personally like the university very much as it creates such a bond, you would have memories forever. I gave MAT exam before filling the application form. The fee is around 1000 rupees. The university is ranked 46 by NIRF in 2021 so to get a degree from here is always a plus in life. While researching about the university I got great assistance from Collegedunia.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

There are four schools at TU which includes School of Sciences, School of Management Sciences, School of Humanities and Social Sciences and School of Engineering. The MBA course is covered with rich topics of data analytics, finance, accounting and economics. We are given practical lessons to sharpen our managerial skills. The academic calendar is filled with project work, assignments, seminars, grooming classes, vivas and many such activities. Weekly exams are taken on a regular basis which ends with the semester exams.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Everyone participates in the Summer Internship program which starts after the first semester exams. We get both paid and non paid internships. You can opt for internships outside the campus as well. Companies like Flipkart, TATA and ICICI Bank come for internships. The paid internships are around 5000 rupees on an average for your service for 8 weeks in the company.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placement is the key for every B schools and we have good campus placements. The students start participating in the recruitment process after the 2nd semester exams. Every year new recruiters join us for placements while the top recruiters are Wipro, Accenture, Apollo, HCL and HDFC Bank. The highest CTC offered to our batch was 8 LPA while the average stood to be 3.5 LPA. We were given domains primarily in marketing and consultancy.

Fees and Financial Aid

The bonus of studying at a central university is the course fee which is very low for MBA compared to other B Schools. The 2 year MBA costs 160000 rupees, thus we pay 40000 rupees per semester. There are some extra charges for the other facilities provided to us. We do have scholarships for the financially weak candidates. The university grants scholarship to the meritorious students where they get concession on their tuition fee.

Campus Life

5

The greenery in the campus gives a lovely vibe to the students for studying. We have a great central library with all the facilities for the bookworms to study till midnight. You will find all the books you need within your grasp. There is a health centre which treats the students for free. Sports are promoted and you will find best facilities for sports like, football, cricket, volleyball and many more. We have NCC and NSS cadets in the university. The annual fest TechXtra is a amalgamation of technical, cultural and managerial events which is organized every October.

Hostel Facilities

5

There are separate hostels for Boys and Girls. Everyone is accommodated into twin bed rooms. The hostels are very big with all the facilities such as 24*7 Wi-Fi, laundry, common room, canteen and parking lot. The mess is hygienic and provides good quality food. There is a routine for the menu and food is provided according to that. 3 meals are provided in a day and snacks are provided in the evening.

Admission

Once I applied to TU with my MAT score I was asked to come to the university for the GD and PI round. My GD round went for 15 minutes and we were given the topic about GST. In my PI round questions were asked about all my background activities besides academics, my reasons for choosing this course etc. Various mock interviews online helped me a lot while preparing for this round.

Course Curriculum Overview:

To learn about business, entrepreneurship i chose this course but it didn't helped me in any way as of now It has only helped me in enhancing my communication skills more and nothing more than that My suggestions would be the course should include some digital marketing course and some other course as well so that it becomes worthy to study there and become ready for the outside world. The units exams were conducted on after every 1 month of course duration gets complete and the final 3/4 months of duration difficulty levels were not that much hard if you have studied properly and understood the concept you will pass

Remarks:

The MBA admissions are merit based. The basic eligibility was graduation with 50% marks and a CAT score. TU also conducted an interview and a counselling session once I was shortlisted. TU is a central university under the government, so they offer quality education for very less fees. This was the major reason for joining TU.
