Course Curriculum Overview
I choose MBBT which stands for molecular biology and biotechnology, the labs are good, they have almost all the things. There are 4 exam in one semester, 1st sessional, mid term, 2nd sessional and end term
Internships Opportunities
There are alot of internship opportunities but as i am in 1st semester so i don't know as much. But i have seen my senior doing internship, it is compulsory from doing an internship from 3rd semester.
Fees and Financial Aid
At the time of admission, I paid around 25000, now in 2nd semester admission I have to pay 16000, it includes the hostel fees but we have to pay 2000 per month as a mess fees in hostel. I didn't get any scholarship till now, our batchmate also pay the amount of fees in the university. Yes, as a central University, it is some expensive. College campus is good, but not all professers are good.
Campus Life
School of science every year held a science fest named inscignis, our library have almost all the books of course related, but it doesn't have any other kind books like novels. There are so many clubs .
Hostel Facilities
In one room there is two girls but due to less number of room, we have to share a double room with 3 girls. They don't give us table and chairs for study. Food quality is very low Registration process is okay
Admission
This is the only central University in our state assm. And I don't want to go outside assam.so I decided to study here in MBBT department as I like to study biology. I got the addmission through cuet ug exam.
Faculty
Male teachers are more than female, some of the faculty members are good but some of them are really don't know how to teach. Exam are happened so frequently, and also the marking system is so strict. Due to over classes we can't focus on other activities.
Night Life
There is a gym, but i haven't been there, Cafeteria is present but price is more. The hostels are overall good, but the food is so bad in our hostel. The famous hangout places are niribili, community hall.
