MBA in Tezpur University during Pandemic

After graduating with B.com( accountancy) I have got admission into the 2 year full time MBA programme in Tezpur university. I have secured admission through MAT December 2020 . The minimum eligibility criteria for the course is any graduate or equivalent with 50% marks or equivalent CGPA. The candidates are shortlisted based on their performance on any of these eligibility test- MAT/CAT/CMAT/XAT .The admission process started with online application through university portal. After getting shortlisted based on the MAT score online GD/PI was held and final merit list was issued in the university website itself. My overall admission experience was very good. After getting admission my first semester classes were held in online mode and second semester classes were held in blended mode due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The 2 year full time MBA course is approved by AICTE and aims at providing quality management education to the students. The faculties are very much helpful and focuses on practical learning. They are also engaged in training and consulting the students apart from providing valuable knowledge and education. Due to the covid-19 pandemic the examinations were held online for our first and second semester.

Many companies like Airtel,VI, Marico ,ITC offers internship to the students of MBA Proggrame in various domains - HR, OPS, MARKETING with a average stipend of 8k-10k per month. The placement cell is very much active and tries their best to connect the students with the companies

In our 2 year full time MBA proggramme students become eligible for campus placements from 3rd semester. Many reputed companies like Airtel, Coca-Cola, American Express takes part in the placement. The average package offered by the companies is 4-5 lacs Per Annum. Above 90% of the students of our department gets placed at the end of the course.

The overall course fee is approximately Rs. 164000 including hostel facility. The department have a active placement cell and placements are provided to the students during their 3rd and 4th semester. Many reputed organizations like - Airtel, Amul, coco-cola , American Express participates in the campus placement.

The Tezpur University campus is a residential campus filled with trees and greenery. The labs are sophisticated and infastructure is also up to the mark. It also has a central library where you can read books and relax your mind. Shopping complexes, banks and ATM's are avaliable inside the university campus. Two annual fests 'inscignis' and 'sampark' are organized every year in the university campus . There are different clubs run by the students - Adventure sports club, Nrityangan dance club , FORMEX etc.

For male students there are total 6 hostels providing 1/2/3 seater rooms . The hostel rooms are furnished with neccessary facilities like chairs , beds, wardrobes , fan , tubelight. 24*7 water and electricity service is avaliable in the hostels. A common room is also there in all the hostels for indoor activities and organizing meetings. The quality of food depends on the mess managers.

Yes . GD/PI was held online for our batch due to the covid-19 pandemic. The topics for the GD/PI were related to general awareness and current affairs. The overall admission experience was very good. It started with online application through the university website and after getting shortlisted based on the qualifying examination ( MAT/XAT/CMAT/CAT) , GD/PI was held online . After GD/PI , the final merit list was issued in the university website.
