What is your philosophy of leadership? How would you describe your leadership style?

“Ownership, Responsibility, and Participation of team members.” I would like to describe my leadership style as ownership of any task and active participation with full responsibility. I encourage my faculty members to participate in classroom activities and try to focus on the best outcome. The classroom is the place of discussion with students and without the participation of faculty members, we cannot achieve outcomes.

How do you try to bring in a practical approach towards subjects and how students get practical experience from studying the subject?

Currently, students have to study co-curricular subjects, such as personality development, career guidance, health and physical education, information and communication technology, NCC/NSS. Along with that Live Projects, Case study discussions, Industrial visits and Summer Internship projects are the part of core curriculum with marks and grades. Any student joining the program will have to participate and learn practical aspects of subjects.

How is your relationship with the students of your college?

Our university strictly follows a mentor-mentee system with the help of class coordinators. My students are my mentees and I am like a mentor cum guardian for them. As I have the responsibility of the hostel warden, I am completely aware of the expectations of my students. I take great pride in nurturing these growing kids not just academically but also as individuals. They are like kids to me because sometimes they make silly mistakes.

Any suggestions/messages that you would like to give to the current youth?

Current youth are very energetic and passionate about doing some innovative things. I would like to suggest keep motivating yourself. Try thousands of ways and come up with the best version of yourself. Every failed attempt gives the opportunity to learn new things and reduce the distance of success. Do not give up before the fight and if you win then the sky is the limit.
