The CUET PG cutoffs are released individually by each participating university or college. The CUET PG Cutoff represent the minimum marks and percentiles required for admission in the specific postgraduate courses in each institute.

The CUET PG Result was released on May 6, 2025. After which, the universities began to release their separate cut-off lists. From May 19 onwards, some universities started releasing their course and category-wise cutoffs. The Central University of Haryana and JNU have released their first merit list on 27th June 2025.

  • The CUET PG Cutoff for top programs in the central universities, for the general category candidates, is expected to be 220-250 marks, and for the reserved category candidates, it is around 180-210 marks, as per the course type and institution.
  • For top institutes like DU, the cutoff for courses like M.Sc Maths and M.A English for the general category candidate is between 230-240 marks, and for the reserved category candidates, it is around 180-210 marks.
  • The CUET PG offers more than 4 lakh seats in more than 190 participating universities. Including various universities like DU, JNU, BHU and other central, state and private institutes offering various PG Programmes.

Each university participating in CUET PG will release its separate cutoff, which will depend on the number of candidates, total seats available and demand for the course. As the cutoffs are released on the official website of each university, candidates should stay updated with the official websites of the universities.

The Qualifying Marks for CUET PG are the minimum marks which are required to be eligible for the admission process for the CUET PG.   However, qualifying marks will not guarantee admission, as the final cutoffs are usually high and vary according to the university, course, and category.

The CUET PG Cutoff will differ according to categories like General, OBC, SC, ST, EWS and PwD categories. The CUET PG Cutoff depends upon the total number of candidates who appeared, the course type and the reservation category.

  • General category cut-offs for the top humanities and science courses at DU, JNU, and HCU are more than 240 marks, which shows high competition.
  • The OBC and EWS cutoffs will be 10–20 marks below the General category for the majority of high-demand PG courses.
