CUET PG Political Science Question Paper Analysis (2024-2023)

The CUET PG 2023 Political Science question paper focused on general knowledge, historical events, and basic political ideas. However, in 2024, the exam changed. Instead of testing only facts, it focused more on political theories, governance systems, and current global issues. Similarly, the International Relations section has shifted its focus to current issues. While 2023 evaluated knowledge of Cold War politics, NAM, SAARC, and ASEAN, 2024 contained questions about India's foreign policy toward countries like China, Pakistan, and the United States. It also featured global organizations such as BRICS, requiring students to stay current on world events rather than simply knowing historical information.

The Comparative Government and Politics section in 2024 moved beyond basic questions on political culture and electoral systems, which were common in 2023, and required students to compare different political systems and government structures. The Public Policies in India section also became more practical. While 2023 focused on policy models, the 2024 exam tested how people and governance are affected by policies, and thus students had to know real-world examples rather than theoretical ones.

Finally, the General Issues of Contemporary Relevance section expanded in 2024. While 2023 included global justice and environmental issues, 2024 added nationalism, climate change, and governance challenges, making the exam more connected to current issues. Overall, CUET PG 2024 required students to explain, compare, and apply political ideas rather than just memorizing definitions and facts.
