CUET PG Exam Pattern 2024: Negative Marking, Total Marks, Syllabus, Question Paper

CUET PG exam pattern 2024 has been revised. NTA has removed the General Test which previously was to be opted with each paper. But now you can choose General Test paper as a separate subject. The comprehension part will be given in Hindi and English as opted by candidates during the registration process. Another crucial change is the selection of papers, you can choose up to 4 paper codes instead of 20 which was applicable till last year.

As per the latest CUET PG exam pattern, each question paper will have 75 questions to be attempted in 105 minutes. Previously, the duration was 2 hours and the total number of questions to answer within this duration was 100. Each question in CUET PG 2024 question paper carries 4 marks. There is also a negative marking of 1 mark for each incorrect answer. 

If you have opted for M.Tech/Higher Sciences, your question paper will be in English only. Acharya papers will be in Sanskrit except for Hindi Studies, Indian Knowledge System and Baudha Darsha.

Unlike last year, the NTA will hold the exam in three shifts. Shift 1 from will be held from 9 am to 10.45 am, shift 2 from 12:45 pm to 2:30 pm and shift 3 will be conducted from 4:30 pm to 6:15 pm. NTA will conduct the CUET exam 2024 in 324 cities across India and abroad this year. However, the exam was held in 337 centers last year. CUET PG will be conducted in 24 cities abroad this year as well.

CUET PG Exam Pattern 2024

  • Students may select up to 4 paper codes as per their preferences.
  • The total number of questions will be 75 in each subjects.
  • CUET PG 2024 total marks is 300.
  • Except for the language and Sahitya papers, the CUET (PG) 2024 is administered in both English and Hindi (Bilingual).

NOTE:

  • During registration, candidates must carefully select either English or Hindi as their language during CUET PG 2024 Registration.
  • The complete 75-question exam for Shiksha Shastri and Shiksha Acharya will be administered in Sanskrit exclusively.
  • The Acharya courses will only be available in Sanskrit.

NTA has revised the CUET PG marking scheme this year. The total number of questions has been reduced from 100 to 75 and the total marks is 300. As per CUET PG 2024 Negative Marking, 1 mark is deducted for each incorrect answer. There is no mark allotted for an unattempted or unanswered question.
