The NTA has started the CUET PG 2026 application process from 14 December 2025. Candidates can register on the official website at nta.ac.in/ .The last date for registration is 20 January 2026 by 11:50 pm. Candidates can now check the live updates of the registration process, fee structure, exam pattern, eligibility etc.

- The correction window will be live between 23 January 2026 to 25 January 2026.
- The Examination shall be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode only.
- A candidate may select up to FOUR question papers with each paper comprising 75 questions.
- The duration of the exam will be 90 minutes with each correct answer getting a +4 and each incorrect answer will get –1.
Last year, Total CUET PG registrations were around 4.12 lakhs which was lower than the 2024 registrations. The attendance rate in CUET PG 2025 reached 79.97% with 5,23,032 candidates appearing, which was higher than previous years despite fewer registrations. Uttar Pradesh consistently leads in state-wise registrations, followed by states like Delhi and Kerala in recent cycles.

Important instructions for candidates
- Candidates can apply for CUET (PG) - 2026 through the “Online” mode only.
- TheApplication Form in any other mode will not be accepted.
- Candidates must read carefully the Instructions (including how to fill up the Application Form online) given in the Information Bulletin available on the NTA Website.

- Register for the Online Application Form
- Keep the Application Number -> create a password
- Log In with Application number and password
- Fill up personal details, educational qualifications etc.
- Upload scanned photograph and signature
- Pay the application fee
- Download/Print the confirmation page.
Ques. Can I pay the application fee later?
Ans. Yes, you can. All 3 Steps i.e. Registration, Application form filling and Fees payment can be done together or at separate times. However not after the closing date of the application form i.e. January 14 2026.
Ques. How do I choose exam cities during the examination process?
Ans. The exam will be conducted in 292 cities including 16 abroad. While applying, candidates can select up to a maximum of TWO cities of their choice within the State provided in their Present and Permanent Address.Candidates preferred exam city will be allotted where possible, but NTA may assign a different city due to administrative or logistic reasons.
Ques. How many subjects are available in the CUET PG 2026?
Ans. A total of 157 subjects are being offered in the CUET (PG) – 2026. Candidates may select up to FOUR question paper codes from the list provided. The exam covers a wide range of post-graduate disciplines: languages, humanities, sciences, acharya, M.Tech/higher sciences and common subjects.
Ques. Can I apply for the CUET PG 2026 in offline mode?
Ans. The entire application process for CUET (PG)-2026 is online, including uploading of scanned images/documents, payment of fees, and printing of Confirmation Page, e-Admit Card, etc.Therefore, candidates shall NOT send/ submit any document(s) including the Confirmation Page to NTA through Post/ Fax/ WhatsApp/ Email/ by Hand.

CUET PG 2026: Admit Card
The e-Admit Card would be issued provisionally to the candidates through the NTA website subject to the fulfillment of the eligibility conditions and receipt of the prescribed application fee by NTA.
- It is mandatory to carry a printed copy of the admit card along with a valid ID proof to the exam centre.
- The candidates may note that e-Admit Cards will not be sent by post or email.
- In case a candidate is unable to download his/her e-Admit Card from the website, they should approach the NTA Help Line Number: 011-40759000 between 10.00 am to 5.00 pm.
- In case of any discrepancy in the particulars of the candidate or their photograph and signature shown on the e-Admit Card and Confirmation Page, the candidate may immediately approach the NTA Help Line between 10.00 am to 5.00 pm.

Ques. Do I need to upload graduation marksheets or academic documents during registration?
Ans. No, academic documents like 10/12 or graduation marksheets are not required for CUET PG application. They are only needed later during university-specific counselling/admission verification.
Ques. What is the exam date for CUET PG 2026?
Ans. The exam will be conducted in March 2026. Final dates are expected to be released in Feb 2026.
Ques. Can I pay my application fee offline?
Ans. No, the fee can be submitted only online through Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, and UPI Services.
Ques. Can I use my parent’s or someone else’s mobile number or email id for the registration process?
Ans. It is strongly advised to use your own (or parent’s) active mobile number or email, as all communications, OTP’s, application number, and updates from NTA will be sent to the registered contacts.
