Faculty

The faculty is very nice. They are mostly approachable, highly educated and very efficient in teaching. Though the grading done by them is very bad. Average grade ranges from C to B minus, at max. Yasmeen Akhtar, Amit Setia, Prabal Paul, and Minhajul Sir in the maths department are excellent professors. Each semester has quizzes, midsem and then compres (end sems). Most courses have quiz 1 followed by mid sem, then quiz 2 and then finally end sem exam. Usually, quizzes have 20% weightage, midsem has 30 % weightage, and compre has 40%, with an additional 10% being given to either a surprise quiz or assignments or attendance.

Campus Life

There are 3 fests that take place called Waves (cultural fest), Quark (technical + management fest), + spree (sports fest). Waves is very vibrant, has great night concerts, and usually happens near Diwali. Quark is very technical, ranging from Robo Wars to MUN, and it usually happens in February. Spree is a sports fest with different colleges participating in various games, It usually happens in April. The library has multiple books covering all topics possible and you can easily access them or borrow them from the library. The campus has multiple clubs, departments and sports teams.

Faculty

Faculty members are good and has knowledge but due to lack of infrastructure the teaching methods are lacking. They conduct 3 exams which are knows as Class Internal Evaluation which is of 20 marks each and best of 2 are considered for internal marking and one final exam known as end sem is conducted of 80 marks. If we fail is a subject then we can reappear the subject in an odd semester as a backlog subject

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is based on old knowledge which needs to be improved and thr frequency of classes should be increased. The examination is fine and it's easy if we attend classes. Teaching methods can be improved once we have a good infrastructure.

Faculty

The Faculty is always take care of their students. the realtionship between faculty and student is also very good. if there will be any issues faculty always looks after it. and the faculty is always working hard to give the best education to the students. there are 8 semesters in 4 years (2 semester in each year). and 2 class test of every subject in a semester whivh marks will be added to the semester marks. the class test marks is 30 and the semester is 70. the grading system: 90-100: S 80-90: A 80-70: B 70-60: C 60-50: D 50-40: E Below 40 marks means X in grade which is fail. the course structure is also good . it keep updated in every 4-5 year with latest subjects. some subjects are there which are hard to pass but no that much hard .

Fees and Financial Aid

my department is INSTRUMENTATION and ELECTRONICS Engineering. the total fees for four year is 10420. at the time of admission we had to pay the fees for first 2 years only and the rest fees should be submitted after 2nd year completion. The detailed fees structure is above: Tution : 1800 Admission Fees: 100 Registration: 25 Librarry Deposit: 50 Sports: 100 Lab / workshop fees: 3000 session charges:100 caution deposit: 25 health card: 10 the sum of all this is 5210. the same will be applied for the rest 2 years (3rd and 4th year). but for IT and CSE the fees structure is different . the total amount for 4 year is approx 30000 rs.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tution payable to the college is 245000 per semester in the first year, which increases at a rate of 5% every year. Other fees while admmission include admission fee of 53900, SU fees of 400, cautionary deposit of 3000(which is refundable). Registration fee for the admission tes BITSAT is 5500. Mess advance of 10000- and misc. 12000. So the total 1st semester fee payable is 349825. Including the increase of 5% every year, the total 4 year fee adds up to 2535000. Apart from scholarships, financial aid is also given to needy students irrespective of their academic performance

Faculty

The ratio typically varies between 1:15 to 1:20. the faculties are very approachable. every faculty has dedicated chamber consultation hours during which students can discuss any type of issues academic / non academic. There no particular faculty i didnt like about Exam structure: there's 1 midsem and 1 comprehensive examination which contribute to more than 70 percent of the course the remaining 30 percent is evenluy spread across the semester on the descretion of instructor.

Course Curriculum Overview

chose this course because of its mix of theory and practical subjects. The inclusion of emerging topics like IoT and AI in later semesters was a plus, but the first few semesters feel outdated and heavily theory-based. More industry-relevant topics should be introduced earlier. The curriculum provides a solid foundation, but real-world applications are limited. Design engineering projects and internships help, but more industry collaborations and case studies would improve practical learning. Many subjects feel academic rather than job-oriented, making self-learning essential for actual career preparation.

Fees and Financial Aid

I pay 1600 per sem that's cover everything, admission fee is 2000 and no other fees to pay and for girls there's no fees and I'm in obc category so I get 10000 scholarship and for general students there no scholarship scheme and for sc/st students they get around 25000 scholarship.

There will be many technical competitions being conducted in each and every department once in 2 months inorder to make the students cope up with technical skills like paper presentation, project presentation etc. Also non-technical events are also held. There is a huge ground and indoor playground which itself describes the sports opportunities. There is also a scholarship if you come into this college with sports quota.Once a year, in the month of January or February there will be culturals conducted in the Asia's second largest convention center located in this college. There are many clubs in the college in which students can go and join for the role of member, executive member, secretary etc in order to improve their leadership skills.

Placement Experience

From the 6th semester onwards, companies started to visit students for hiring. There are many companies visiting each and every department respectively. In this department, many companies like Honeywell, Yokogawa, Delta electronics, KBR, Zoho etc visited and looked for hiring. The highest package offered is around 11lpa and the average package of the total companies is around 5-6 lpa. Honestly, the campus isn't that big, but it's big enough to be a bit of fun. But if you talk about fun outside, then my opinion is that it is a lot of fun. The main reason is that you get everything as soon as you get out of college.

Fees and Financial Aid

My college is Vishwakarma Government Engineering College, it is good to go with the reality but the placement bau is low and there is not much interest in sports. Yes, the sports department is good but the faculty of study is good.

Ayam is the annual function happens in the college and small fests and events go on throughout the year organised by the clubs in the college. Sports facilities are awesome as College provide the plateform to prove yourself in national level. Many type of clubs are there in the college for photography their is a group, NCC is also in the college for defence aspirants. As I'm also enrolled in ncc so it make a perfect college life for me.

Fees and Financial Aid

Total fees that I paid this is 121600 rupees (general category) it includes all the charges excluding hostel. The fees for sc and st is lower than that of general category students. It's approx 70000. Fees for biomedical and information technology is higher than other branch it's approx 1.5 lakh. Their is scholarship opportunities for OBC, SC and ST which is provided by state government and central government.

Faculty

The faculty for the first year students is good for every subject except for the CAED i.e, Computer Aided Engineering Drawing. The faculty for the subjects and the lab has a good knowledge and experience about their subject and they also help us to clear our doubts if any. Most of the faculty members prefer the teaching method of writing and teaching rather than just giving a verbal teaching which is to good for the students to understand and grasp the topic in a better way. So the examination and evaluation pattern is quite hectic in DSCE.....???????? They conduct three internals for every subject which has a maximum marks of 50 and the average of these 3 internals are taken and the score is then awarded out of 30 marks. They have small quizzes and activities for every subject which has a in total weightage of 20 marks . The final or the SEE is for 100 marks which is then reduced to 50 marks. So the total marks is 30+20+50=100 The exams are quite easy and can be easily cleared.

Campus Life

My experience in the campus of DSCE is quite good. The campus is vibrant and lively due to a huge intake of students across various courses. There is always something or the other going on in the campus. The infrastructure and the facilities present in the campus is quite good. There are plenty of events being conducted regularly which helps to build social connections for the students. As in for the available clubs.. For non technical clubs we have CPA which primarily has the dancing, singing, act, etc under its domains and is the main heart for the non technical events and fests conducted on our college. For the technical clubs we have Point Blank which is the coding club and has a good Coding culture. We also have the team ARCIS and Team DSCE Motorsports which are the aviation and car building clubs respectively. We also have Mudita which is the social help group and conducts regular visits to old age homes and orphanages across various locations.

Campus Life

The college has a lot of clubs including YRC, NSS, Rotract club, Science Association, Maths Association etc. The college conducts annual cultural event called Talentia which is an inter departmental fest. The college also conducts a freshers fest called Swagat every here where freshers showcase their talents. The inter departmental sports fest Aadukalam is also conducted each year. The college has a big central library 2 floors with 70000+ books and lot of ejournals. Apart from this each department has its own library.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose electronics and instrumentation as it is niche field. The college offered several trainings apart from curriculum like external trainings from National instruments, yokogawa where they prepared us for real world applications. Course curriclum is good and comprehensive. Teaching methods can be improved in terms of incorporating more practical oriented teachings. There are morning tests everyday, then internal assessment twice a semester and a model exam before the semester.

Fees and Financial Aid

every year we pay semester wise which depends on the subject and per semester is like almost 70 rupees also we have to pay almost 9000 rupees for the entire 4 year course as i belong to the st cateogary so it was less for me during the admission process for IT(information Technology) btech course the fees is around 1.5 lakhs i havent alloted for any schorlarships or financial aid as my father works in the indian coast guard in defence

Faculty

The professors over here are kind and really dont care much about things but definitely there are exceptions but overall the faculty is good and well earned the thing about exams is that its perfectly fine with each year consisting of 2 semesters but the system of conducting class tests in between gets a little hectic

Campus Life

My experience with the college by now has been very nice. I loved it's vibrant campus. Theirs big ground where we play football in evening. We have cultural fest called Vibration which happens in our college. There are lots of clubs in the college which helps us in overall development. Big library is their where we issue book at any time. Last month we had inter department sports fest . I was in the football team of my department. Yes there's a social group in our college called mudita which do various good works like going to orphanage , distributing foods etc. Some of my friends are in mudita.

Faculty

The faculties member in the college are very experienced and knowledgeable. They are always ready to help the students. Our course curriculum is not flexible. Every month we have to give internals exams . Then after lab test and just after that semester exams will come. Because of which students in the college has to deal with lot of pressure.

Ques. Which is better: Electronics and Instrumentation in BITS Pilani or Computer Science in BITS Goa or Hyderabad? Why?

● Top Answer By Divya Saraf on 05 Aug 23

Ans. The decision should be completely based on your interests. It is always better to choose a course that has ample opportunities; otherwise, you will end up jobless. You have to maintain a good CGPA to get a placement here since the competition level is very high. BITS Pilani is comparatively better at academics and placement support than BITS, Goa, or Hyderabad. When it comes to the selection of the course, Electronics and Instrumentation are a bit difficult for scoring a good CGPA. After this course, you are open to both CSE and EEE fields for your higher studies (based on the electives you have selected). CSE is comparatively better, which opens up  high opportunities and BITS across India provides placement support for students with good CGPA So, choose wisely based on your interests.Read more

Ques. What is the difference between EEE, EnI and ECE at BITS, Pilani?

● Top Answer By Prateek Sharma on 05 Aug 23

Ans. BITS Pilani does not offer an Electronics and Communication Engineering Program. When comes to ENL and EEE, there are some key points you should keep in mind as an applicant, which are listed below Opportunities – In the current scenario, EEE opens up more opportunities than ENL. For Instance, the Indian Engineering Examination is only applicable to students from ECE and EEE Campus – BITS Pilani is far better than BITS Hyderabad as they have well-equipped lab and infrastructure Placement – The three batches can sit for the placement, but the companies give more weight to Communication and Digital Signal Processing So, it is better to choose EEE than ENL at BITS Pilani.Read more

Ques. How good are the placements and packages for electronics and instrumentation in BITS Pilani?

● Top Answer By Prakash Singh on 14 May 24

Ans. When it comes to the BITS Pilani campus, the scope of getting placed at top companies is huge. First, let me tell you about the placement process that is followed by BITS Pilani.  The placements are divided into two semesters for all three campuses. You will have to choose which semester you want to sit for placements by the end of the third year. Normally, students who sit for the first semester have a CGPA above 8 and those who sit for the second semester have a CGPA in the range of 6 to 8.  Mostly, those who have less than 8 CGPA do not get to sit for placements in the first semester. The job offers from the recruiters are good. About 15-20 companies visit the college for both semesters.  However, your opportunities are better if you get to sit for the first semester. So, try to maintain a CGPA above 8.Read more

Ques. How many marks are required to get an admission in NIT Warangal CSE, IT or in the electronics branch?

● Top Answer By Shivani Singh on 19 Aug 23

Ans. To get admission into NITW, you need to secure a certain rank in the JEE Mains exam.  These are the closing ranks for round 6 of JoSAA counseling to get admission into these branches at NIT Warangal, for 2023: Course Quota  Seat-Type Gender Closing Rank CSE HS Open Gender-neutral 3115 CSE OS Open Gender-neutral 2413 ECE HS Open Gender-neutral 6516 ECE OS Open Gender-neutral 5814 ECE (VLSI) HS Open Gender-neutral 7103 ECE (VLSI) OS Open Gender-neutral 7047 EEE HS Open Gender-neutral 11388 EEE OS Open Gender-neutral 9265 Out of the branches mentioned by you, NIT Warangal does not provide B.Tech IT. You can also check the 2023-2024 cutoffs of other branches and categories for NITW However, I would like to tell highlight a few things- Electronics and Electrical value your ability to remember random figures rather than polishing your technical knowledge.  The syllabus and question paper for both these courses is below par at NIT Warangal. The syllabus for them is outdated. Placements are high at NITW, but software profiles are mostly offered.  Most students start coding from their pre-final year because of low placement chances in the core companies of other disciplines.  The college infrastructure and hostel facilities may disappoint you.  Government colleges other than IIT D, B, and K are lagging behind in reality. They have subpar infrastructure and their administration is old and rigid. They offer no extra support and opportunities to their students. All of this combined with the rigorous academic schedule causes plenty of frustration. Read more

Ques. How is instrumentation and control in Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal?

● Top Answer By Kalyani Shankar on 09 Sept 23

Ans. The Instrumentation and Control Engineering branch at MIT Manipal is a multifaceted branch dealing with various subjects related to Electrical, Electronics, and mechanical. Students are taught about sensors, transducers, electrical and mechanical instruments, microcontrollers, control systems, process automation, etc. The branch is good and its labs are equipped with modern instruments. The faculty is decent and the placement scenario seems very promising. One of my friends recently completed his BTech in instrumentation and control and gave me an active idea of the placement scenario of the branch. Out of the entire batch around 95% of students got placed. The highest package stood at INR 20 LPA and the average stood at INR 10 LPA while the lowest was recorded at INR 5 LPA. The star recruiters included Mercedes, Flipkart, Amazon, and Nvidia among many others. Overall, this branch is great if you are interested in this field.Read more

Ques. How is instrumentation and control at NSIT - infrastructure, faculty, course content, scope, placement and research opportunities?

● Top Answer By Akriti Banerjee on 23 Aug 23

Ans. Here is all the information about ICE at NSUT Delhi- Faculty - The ICE faculty is a mixed bag. There are some teachers who teach really well and their classes are enjoyable. However, there are some strict ones as well. Some do not care about their subject or the students at all. Coursework - The ICE coursework is fine and gives you ample time to pursue your interests. Infrastructure - NSUT Delhi has undergone infrastructural changes recently. This is because it has gained University status. The college library is centrally air-conditioned. ICE shares most of its labs with the Electronics and Computers branches. The labs are well-equipped. Placements - Placements are less as compared to COE/IT branches. Few companies offer jobs to ICE students, especially for Core job profiles. Generally, DRs and people with exceptional profiles are placed in ICE. Internship offers are also less for this department. Research- ICE students are actively involved in research work. The ICE faculty encourages students to participate in research. Students also work under DTU, IIT Delhi, and IIIT Delhi teachers. ICE students work on around 3-4 projects while at NSUT Delhi. Scope - ICE students drift from their core stream to a programming job or an MBA. Some also prepare for an MS.  This is all the information about the ICE branch at NSIT Delhi.Read more
