Review for my college Sgsits (Indore)

First of all , the placements are pretty decent and ROI are really good for the upper branch like computer science, info tech , Electronics instrumentation and electronics communication the average package is between the 9 lpa to 11 lpa
The senior faculties are very experienced , and this college also provides you one of the best labs for respective subjects and provides huge number of computers and have a decent library

Dislikes

The campus is not very big there are only 4 hostels which can only hold 10 percent of the college
As we know the college is 2-3 tier , so the placements for the core branch doesn't feel good here

Fees and Financial Aid:

Tuition fees for all the branches except info tech and biomedical are 50 thousand per semester while for these 2 branches are 65 thousands approx. Some of the scholarship students can get are mmvy which helps the students who can't afford the cost of the study , system returns all the fees after applying form. After the 2nd year some of the companies hire you for internship which is better than all the government college of madhya pradesh.

SGSITS: A brief introduction

Likes

campus is decent and conviniently located in the city, transportation is easy.
faculty is experienced, and placement for core branches is decent

Dislikes

exams every months gets stressfull for students leaving less time for extra curricular activities
campus and infrastructure is relatively small and old

Fees and Financial Aid:

college provides some scolarship options to st/scs and obc students as well as the students with low family income. Govt. provides various scolarship like medhavi etc as well and students can appy to these opportunities fairly easily. Placement cell is fairly active and most of the qualified candidates make the placemnt.

Beautiful campus coverd by the greenery from all the four sides.
The college is very supportive towards new innovations.

Dislikes

the number they are putting on their website is just for the namesake. If you call them, then they will say call directly to the college.
The only exception is there is no direct public transport which can let you here from Western zone of city

B.Tech: A Roller coaster Ride!!

College campus is beautiful and it's location is the city. So, Transport is easy.
There is very experienced and senior faculty in the college

Dislikes

Continuous exams, they have completed 2 semesters in 8 months
There is somehow strict academics pressure

Tuition fee is same, there is no increase in tution fee Complete cost of my education is 1 lakh per year and 4 lakhs for 4 years I get post metric scholarship every year which is of 1 lakh rupees amount

Being a government college fee is not extravagant and scholarships are provided for general category students depending upon the family income and other criterions. Fee structure is good, hostel fee is a bit high.

Cultural functions conducted at every occasions like Ganesh chaturthi, Navratri etc.
Clubs are aware and often conduct workshops.

Dislikes

The campus should be of at least 100 acres.
Some of the sports are not available in the campus.

The fees structure is quite affordable, we are charged around 84k per year and students can opt for Tuition Fee Waiver which washes off the Tuition Fee from the total Fee. You can also opt for MMVY and other scholarships.

There are 2 types of scholarships given to the student first is categories scholarship for OBC, SC, and ST students. And the second one is Mukhyamantri Medhavi Vidyarthi Yojana which is started by our chief minister who secured 70% marks in the 12th class and scored AIR rank in 1.5Lakhs.

The fees of SGSITS is average and it is appropriate since it's a autonomous college. The annual fees of this college is roughly around 90,000/-. The fees are hiked after every 2-3 years and to according to the inflation rates. Which is better, taking EI in SGSITS or E&TC in IET-DAVV?

Some of the facts are listed below to help you understand which one is better in taking admission.

SGSITS has its brand name. No one even knows about the institute about IET-DAVV; generally, the students who are staying outside of Madhya Pradesh.
There are not enough differences in the syllabus of these two institutes. And for this reason, you have to study yourself to perform better.
If you want to pursue higher studies, then seats are limited in the good colleges for instrumentation. For this reason, the candidate number is also less. Thus, you have a preference to alter your stream for higher studies. One of my friends has told me that many people studied very hard and appeared in GATE although they have studied opted EI in B.Tech.
If you are looking for placement, then DAVV is the best. This institute always has better placement statistics than the other one that is SGSITS. My friend also told me that in DAVV, most of the students from E&TC, despite EI, are preferred by the recruitment companies.

In the following, the placement statistics of these two institutes are highlighted.

If you have not so many ideas about the stream and do not aware of the institutional tag; then it is better to choose E&TC in DAVV. Besides, if you are considering these two institutes, then both are quite similar in terms of academics. However, E&TC also has many other fields in the future, so that the job opportunity might be expanded. Hence, it will be best to go for E&TC over EI.

Which option is better, IT in IET DAVV or EI in SGSITS?
