Whats my thoughts and experience about my college

College location is at the middle of indore which make everything easy if you need something
Practical things lab and other practical things are good which improve soft skill

Dislikes

Fee is so high which not justify with college overall experience
Whats the need of biology course for engineering college
In first year the course need understanding bharat is just waste of time teacher is not available at time of class and just teaching about spirituality , Hinduism and bharat

Sgsits Cs is my first priority but not enough to get there so aim for IT the reason why i end up here is because i got manipulated and every one is saying as it rank 3rd in mp. I love to join mnit but its not enough to get in there. Apply for ugeee but fail to crack and i don't want to apply for bits because it is super expensive i want to join government college but its my wrong choice to join this college. At time of my admission i provided with the information that college fee is 50 K but suddenly got a incriment and i found out when i finalise and attend admission procesure Its thorough mpdte counselling which count jee score 47 k is opening for ec branch.

SGSITS has a significant of faculty member wide range of UG, PG, Pharma. A major portion of the permament faculty (nearly 60-70%) hold Ph.D. degrees , many of whom have graduated from premier institutions like IITs NITs.
There are several grand fest are host in institute.
SGSITS : Top MP college with 44 rs LPA max package.

Dislikes

Small 35-acres campus limit sports ground space.
Limited space leads to waiting for facilities.

Admission:

I joined this college out of compulsion because my 12th grade percentage was low, although I did well in JEE mains and JEE advanced , but due to bad luck, I had to take admission in this college. Well , now I dont want to say much more.

SGSITS: JUST A BIG BRAND

Likes

Infrastructure is good, it's maintained well. There is central library, gym, a cafe, a dining hall, sports complex and ground. It consists almost every minimum requirements.
Girls to boys ratio is also competitive in top branches it's 60:40 while in lower branches it's almost 70:30
Faculty is well qualified, cooperative, understanding but strict regarding punctuality and discipline

Dislikes

Campus size is very small (just 35 acres), there is gymnasium but of no use it opens after 5:30 pm and captured by alumni and seniors, juniors get no space there.
ROI of college is not good from this year onwards. Avg package is 8,00,000 (for tech branch)but the course fees is almost 9,60,000 for 4 years, which I think is not worthy.
There is no cultural fest organised here. The old one AAYAM is discontinued due to some political reasons. College life is not that much entertaining.

I applied for IET davv but I kept it as second preference in MP dte counselling. Other options available for me were some IIITs and lower branches in NITs but I wanted to go for IT sector. Now reason for me for choosing this college was it was slight better than iet and slight lower than IIITs but fees of IIITs was very high, So I didn't applied for them. When I applied for sgsits suddenly they increased their fees. I had no option left other than iet or taking sgsits, but in between confusions and dilemma I choosen sgsits by suggestions of relatives and other elders. Admission process is done through MP dte counselling, based on jee mains rank. Cutoff of general category for IT branch is about AIR 45,000. Seat allocation follows the reservation rules of mp government.

KING OF MPDTE: THE SGSITS

Likes

The faculty at sgsits indore is experienced and qualified, with many holding PH. D degrees.
SGSITS offers various scholarships to its students ,including merit-based scholarships and financial assistance.
SGSITS have very good alumni network because it is very old college.

Dislikes

Some building and labs in SGSITS are very old and need renovation.
the campus is relatively small ,and social life might be limited.
While some branch have excellent placements, others might not as strong.

Admission:

I choose SGSITS because it is near to my home and also placement wise good college,before this i had alloted seat in iet davv but sgsits is better then iet davv in respective branch and also for me SGSITS is near to my home , i was in iet davv but when i know about clc round mpdte then i think to apply and i got SGSITS,

Likes

All professor are good at their respective domain and take regular classes
College is active in training and placement and provide internship and placement at time
Many cultural fest tech fest all types of games and other activities are running in college

Dislikes

Hostel building are too old and you have to manage it accordingly
They take much miscellaneous fees from this year for building development
If your rank is too good then go to nit because this is not comparable to top 20 NITs

The college is good in terms of placement and development of students

I liked the people I meet in the college because there are a lot of things to learn from them
I like the sports facilities and the new lecture hall building which has good infra and is equipped with wifi

I have applied to many nits and I got seat in NIT bhopal in electronics and communication branch. But I chose Sgsits cse over nit bhopal ece because I wanted to pursue my career in cse and I have no interest in ece. The admission process of the college is easy . First filling of application through date and then if we get seat we have to report college for the final admission process which is just of 1-2 hours and after fee submission your admission is confirmed. For BTech the scores accepted are of Jee mains. The cutoff can be considered above 90 percentile.

Here i like the infrastructure it is pretty good.
Teachers in this college are very good , they help hus and solve all of our doubts.
Also i like the exposure i get in this college , it is very good.

Dislikes

the mess food over here is very bad , it is unhygenic.
Also the cleanliness is an issue over here.
Also the management of this college. it is not great.

i chose this college becuase i wanted to study CS and i was not getting a good college for the same . I got electronics engineering MANIT also civil in NIT trichi but i chose this college. we have to apply in mpdte councelling to take admission in this college. and it consists of 2 rounds .also to take admission in this college we have to score min of 75% in 12th boards.

things i like about my college is that it is very affordable and also provides all types of scholarships and fees is also not that higher .
some faculties in our college is also good at teaching and also experienced. Boys to girls ratio in our class 10:4
my college also provides good exposure and also has a big alumni network.

Dislikes

some buidings in our college is too old and labs are also not that good.
some of the faculties in our college are also not that good at teaching .

The Truth of SGSITS College

Likes

The teachers are experienced and has deep knowledge in their subjects.
The placement specially in IT and CSE department is good.
The library is well equipped with books.

Dislikes

The college infrastructure is old and not upto the mark.
Sports facilities are also not upto the mark.
There is only one fest organised in the college once in a year.

Admission:

I choose this college and branch because of good placement,alumni network is strong and it is one of the most prestigious college of M.P.Other reason is that I am resident of indore only so. its in my hometown olny also I was not getting CSE branch in other college like NIT's at my percentile so thats why I choose this.

The short answer is no. My brother is currently studying mechanical engineering at IET-DAVV. He got AIR 63000 rank in the general category and still had to struggle a lot to get admission.

With a rank of 3,16,000, it’s next to impossible to get into IET-DAVV even from SC/ST category. However, if you are looking forward to the next attempt, check out the opening and closing ranks of IET-DAVV 2020 to get a better view.

With a score of 120 in JEE Mains and 91.2% in CBSE, you are fit for the IT or EC branch in IET DAVV in the second round of counseling by DTE.

In the past, students have got the IT/EC branch at such scores or even less. I have a friend who is an alumnus of IET DAVVa and his score was 125 in JEE and 87% in MP board.

There’s a good chance that you will be selected. As for SGSITS, with this rank, you can easily get any branch you like.

Yes, it is possible to get into any of these colleges with this rank, be it SGSITS or IET DAVV. But you wouldn't get into the branch according to your choice. It only depends on the number of seats available for each branch and the number of students applying for a particular branch.

But don't just take admission in any branch of a college just because of its name and popularity. Always choose that branch in which you are really interested. That would be the best decision and will be very helpful for your career.

I got 102marks in the JEE and 82.1 in the MP Board. Can I get the SGSITS or the IET DAVV?

It would be a bit difficult to get listed in both the colleges, but in college-level counseling, there is still a 50% chance. A friend of mine got admission to the EI branch at IET DAVV with a rank of AIR 1,60,000 (general category) through CLC.

You might get branches like EI, Biomedical, etc. You can get these branches in college-level counseling or even in the second round. But it’s risky. If you fail to get in, you may have to drop a year. My friend got lucky with the seat. I will only recommend going for it, if you are willing to drop a year or have other alternatives.
