About PDA College of Engineering
Poojya Doddappa Appa College of Engineering, Gulbarga was founded in the year 1958 by the Hyderabad Karnataka Education society. The college is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University and approved by AICTE. It offers 11 Bachelor, 10 Master and 7 Research Programmes in the various specialties of Engineering
- The college’s annual intake of UG is 660 and PG is 157.
- The College has been accredited by the National Board of Accreditation since 2009
- It is the first College in Karnataka State to start the Electronics and Communication Engineering branch way back in the year 1967, to join NIT Surathkal and IISc, Bangalore

- The teaching methods, labs, and way of teaching by faculty members were excellent. The professors were well qualified and the department was very nice.
- Many companies visited our college, such as Capgemini, Infosys, Robert Bosch, Skystar Technologies, and provided placements with packages ranging from 2 to 5 lakhs. Our college has also been very helpful in preparing us for these placements.
Dislikes
- I am sad to inform you that none of the civil engineering students were placed in 2014, as no civil engineering companies visited the campus.
- There is a lot of racism and political influence, which is a common thing that one will notice.

I had no choice and apart from these my department is good and co-operate with students and friendly. You need to write kcet exam and then wait for counselling overall admission process is very slow and boring

Admission:
Reservation students who had taken the KCET exam under course eligible rank for them it was easy to get admission. Admission staff are too supportive of every student's Exam fees should be somewhat less

- Good and experienced faculty. Its and very old college with good doctors as teachers, one of the best doctors in the city
- Hospital had good input of patient with different cases so there is exposure to patients and hepful in studying

- Very old college with not so good infrastructure
- Few non clinical departments lack good teaching faculty.

The eligibility is based on NEET rankings Application is through NEET counselling You'll have reservations for sc st obc and other categories too NEET is conducted once a year with moderate level difficulty

- college's library I best in this college, In pda Library's you will get all most 1millions books.
Dislikes
- First of all I don't know what things are I disliked in college.
- One thing that I disliked in college is very poor internet connectivity.
Admission:
Eligibility for this course to get admission in BE (CIVIL ENGINEERING) is you will have a 10th marksheet and 12th marksheet , Entrence exams like KCET for government added students the cut-off ranking is below 25,000 ranking and government unadded students the cut-off ranking is below 50000 ranking. The addmission process is very simple and application forms, application fees and application dates you will kcet Karnataka offical website.

- About the placement oppurinites,their are very low number of placements opportunities
- The infrastructure of few laboratories is not good, with old equipments

Two type of admission takes place,one through government Kect ,the fee is as prescribed by sate government and the other type of admission is management fee, which is about 175000 for our department every year

- I like the experience of dissection in the dissection hall

- No encouragement to sports activities in the college curriculum
- There is no defined campus for our college , college building is 1-2 km away from hostel , everything is scattered

For taking Admission you need to appear for the NEET examination and register for KEA counselling .there is no specific reservation for the college the reservations are same as the counselling . The admission process is complicated and lengthy it would be good if the process was simplified

Admission:
The cut off varies year to year . When I took admission my score was 470 and seats left were 6 . But now the cutoff goes high. Depending on neet paper. If u study well nothing is impossible. Doctor itself means u've to study well.
Likes
- As compared to other private medical colleges here the clinical exposure is very good . Teachers take keen interest in teaching the topics and doubt solving . Teachers are very helpful . There is a strict no ragging policy
- Hostel and college is situated in the centre of the city everything is accessible and very near to the hostel . Warden and staff are understanding and take the necessary actions if needed . AC block of hostel is very good .
Dislikes
- There is very less focus on extra curricular activities and more on the studies . Infrastructure needs improvement as the college is really old however construction is going on , toilets are not clean enough
- Non AC block of the hostel is unbearable . Infrastructure is poor .
Admission:
Talking about eligibility for the course it is important for us to give NEET examination . Admission is KEA counselling. There are 3 types of seats that are government, private and management . For government seat fees is around 2.5 lakh per year and for private seat fees is around 12 lakh per year whereas in management seat it is about 35 lakh per year. There is no such separate reservation . Reservations are same as neet councelling. Throughout the year we have to appear for exams there are 3 internal assessment examination and many part completion tests and the final University examination. It would be helpful for people who are not from Karnataka if there is a central councelling for admission

You can get admission here in this university by any competitive exams such as need Jeep placement online also and offline also The university will also provide hostel for girls and hostel for boys the both are nearby it's under 1500 m and it is it it also contain different department and different culture students come from the different states to get admitted by here

- Toilet cleanliness, the toilets in the college are often dirty and not cleaned at the time
- The campus placement close to none which needs to improve

In PDA college of engineering kalaburagi in order to be eligible for the computer science course you you need to have kcet ranking of atleat 24000 You can get application forms and fee structure in the accounts section of pda college You will have 3 internal tests in the whole semester which will be conducted once a month for the syllabus so far covered and a final SEE exam for whole syllabus
